let me save everyone 14 minutes. it's not risky if you keep it stock or go with OTS map as they're super conservative. if you go custom e85 tune without a crankhub it'll 100% spin eventually. speaking from experience I've spun 2 s55 hubs 😬
@RickyMei-b1i6 ай бұрын
False, I know a guy who was tuned but full bolt-ons and spun the crankhub in 2nd gear. This took place in Chicago too. 2018 F82 M4

@StreetDrivenDaily6 ай бұрын
had m4 , it was a great car, small issues here and there, tons of torque, with a tune and downpipe anyone will be happy with power outcome........ never did crank hub, sold it with 63k miles...stock m4 looks meh! but one's you add spacers, lowering springs at least, and front, lip, side skirts and rear diffuser. it changes the look like crazy, mine was Black. loved the rear seat room. traction was always an issue, first and second gear :) now I own R35 GT-R, different beast.
@_M3NACE_7 ай бұрын
For the crank hub, the two main questions are power/transmission. It seems like the DCT cars get that problem more often. Some would say it’s from the quick downshifts from 7-3 or 6-2, for example.
@tauzins7 ай бұрын
Right those quick downshifts introduce a ton of torque instantly so normally rule of thumb is avoiding that.
@_M3NACE_7 ай бұрын
@@tauzins for sure. Part of the fun is downshifting yourself. I haven’t looked into the crack hub problem in a while so I’m unsure if there are any new theories out there

Interesting how when the E90 was one generation behind, that styling was 'timeless'. Now the F8x is being referred to as timeless. Goes to show that we eventually get used to what we see. Who knows, maybe someone a decade from now will be calling the buck tooth G series 'timeless' too.

Nice vid. Completely agree with him on the F80 vs G80 looks and styling. I’ve had my F80 for 7 years and never getting a G80. I have an X3M for the S58.

the build is crazy. I agree since i had an aplina white f82 and upgraded with lci headlights and added lips, ducktail n diffuser too. i did my crankhub cus i liked driving it, but i switched over to a e53 amg cus the 6 speed, the first gear doesn't put the power down and the transition from 1-2 is also weird as he had mentioned, but i didnt know about the clutch delay valve prior. the m4 definitely received lots more compliments and looks as well as the raspy exhaust note, which i do miss but overall still a great car. just not for me

I completely agree with him. The F8X has a beautiful and timeless look unlike the G8X which is a hideous abomination of revolting ugliness. Only people who don't understand car aesthetics would choose the G8X platform.

That’s really interesting about going from 1st to 2nd. I was recently having issues with going to 3rd from 2nd under heavy throttle. Idk I just need more time getting use to the manual in this car or what. But I felt like novice and manuals are the only cars I’ve ever owned.
