The difference is when USA invades another country illegally there is no consequence to the USA. There were no sanctions. No getting expelled from SWIFT, no getting expelled from world sports body, No freezing of US accounts, No boycott of USA crude and gas, no sanctions on trading with USA. All that is reserved only for Other countries that are outside US preferred circle of countries.

It is likely to be the highest traffic season in years. BTS concert in one week. the fact that jaywalking (aka just walking wherever you want in a public space) is illegal in the US is crazy to me. in nz, unless there is a pedestrian crossing/traffic light within 20 metres of where you are (and even then it's largely a suggestion, you're not gonna get in trouble for crossing elsewhere, or crossing while the light is red if there's zero cars coming your way, it's just to make life easier and prevent hitting pedestrians), you can cross ANYWHERE because the government trusts people to take care and caution when crossing roads.
