you have to portray the emotion that the song puts off, you can't smile while signing sad lyrics, it's just a rule of sign language :)

Julien Lebamoff since the person singing this song was sad, and the lyrics are sad, you have to portray that your sad so that the def people who see this don't think it's an upbeat song or a happy one. They need to know that it's actually sad since they can hear that in how the singer is singing or the music is being played. Just like when you talk to a deaf person, you have to portray your confused when asking what, or angry when talking about something that made you mad.

actually, this song is about lead singer Isaac Slade’s experience at a shelter for troubled teens. From an article in “The Sauce” Magazine: "A friend of mine was actually the president for that particular school, so he asked Joe and I to come up for one of their weekend retreats. I was paired up with one kid in particular. His story was just amazing-all the relationships that he had put at risk because of the decisions he made, and eventually losing the relationships… the cost of his lifestyle and his choices, and kind of relating them to my own life and my own stories; seeing all the relationships I’ve threatened for one reason or another. It was a really inspiring weekend."

Hey. I'm not sure if you'll see this comment or not, but I just wanted to tell you that: no matter what any of the haters say, you are, and always will, a beautiful human being. There is no one else quite like you, and I honestly think that you have become stronger than you think. Your friend is watching over you, make no mistake about that. Here's something that might give you a bit of comfort regarding your friend. Especially when it comes to those that we had formed a close/strong bonds with. Even though we were left behind, they took a piece of our "heart of hearts" with them, but also left us a piece of *theirs* in return. So no matter what happens, please don't ever forget that there will always be someone out there that loves/cares about you. Stay strong my friend, for we are all participants in this massive race called life. :)

This was the first video I saw of you, still my favorite. I’m sad to hear you are removing your videos... but I respect your decision and doing what’s best for you. I have my own connections to the Deaf community and I hope and pray for you to get through it emotionally.
