As a college student who just got into option trading, the beginning of the video cant be more relatable. When I started trading, I made profit here and there. At one point even winning $500 profit on a single contract(that costed around 200ish when i bought it) And at that time I actually thought I was talented and had a future in this. But as time went on, End up losing money on the contracts i buy and sells consecutively. Predicting< a reversal of a trend is risky, and even worse, I believe there is more to this market than we understand currently. When the option was sold, did he make money essentially like this: [the "ask" price he set when selling the option] - [the premium he paid] ? And if so, that means that the movement of the stock didn't matter whatsoever because at the end, it was really about setting a way higher "ask" price than the premium he paid when originally buying the option? I didn't see if the 100 stocks in his option were bought essentially for a discounted price compared to the market price and then sold immediately for a profit.
