This discussion right here is why conservatives - and those on the right in general - NEED to engage in the culture. On this note, may I suggest to the Daily Wire to hire cartoonists and script writers to create children’s entertainment? Thriller films are nice and all, but I think the most important thing right now should be to create kids’ entertainment, especially seeing all of the nonsense coming out of Hollywood with regards to kids shows. Hell, as an aspiring voice actor (currently living in a place with ZERO opportunities with regards to the arts) I would LOVE to audition for said cartoon roles.

He didn’t have an anxiety attack. He was weeping from trauma, reliving the events that night. NONE of you have had to take a life in self-defense. This is a 17 year old child that had to endure this traumatic event, and he acted more disciplined in the action than any of us would have.

CNN’s article today about possible lesser charges has Kyle’s attorneys statement that Kyle is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress from the incident. I don’t call it a disorder because it’s not. It’s the way you would expect a human to respond to something traumatic like that.

@@vincents1087 - I really went down a rabbit hole on this one… as I was flabbergasted at the media narrative and social media reaction.. given that the video should have challenged that narrative a lot. I will say the statement made by the McMichaels in the original police report is a bit different than the story one can see from the various videos. They did NOT see Arbery run out of the house that day. Another neighbor did… and that neighbor didn’t have time to call the McMichaels. Interestingly, the neighbor is on a video, talking to the police, telling them that some unknown person is in the house, when Arbery comes sprinting out of the house and runs down the street towards the McMichaels house. The police did not really do an investigation. They just went with the McMichaels story. Heck, the police told Arbery’s mom that her son had been killed in a burglary attempt… which was technically not true. But the thing is, she didn’t even blink on hearing that news.. per a WSJ reporter who covered the story. Arbery was no angel. Mens rea is important, and I don’t believe the McMichaels had any intent to hurt that kid. They simply didn’t want to be hurt as they tried to hold him for questioning by the police. I wish a better investigation had been done at the start… as not doing it certainly gives the police a deserved black eye… and it probably deservedly resulted in the firing of the DA… and as it slightly damages the McMichaels credibility now. However, in the aggregate, I stand by my position.

I was one of the first people to get it, long before it became mandatory and Trump was still president, and I sincerely hope every single officer that enforced this in any way is removed from service and loses all benefits for doing so. But, I agree. Countrymen, stand up for yourself and those you care about. We kind of have this mentality in the military where we all sort keep going based on everyone else's motivation (energy). The more motivated one is, the more it spreads to everyone. The more bad actions are smeared, the more we smash them down.

I am not sure what exactly you are against as far as getting the vaccine, but I do not believe anyone should, in any fashion or form, be "forced" to get it if they have a valid reason not too. Or just don't want to. For any reason. However, even "squids" :p are worth it. It's hard, but we don't join the military because it's easy. Not saying get the vac, but think very hard about letting it stop you.

Perhaps the brave thing to do is rarely the wise thing to do. Perhaps that’s what makes it brave. Was it wise for a group of British colonial citizens to stand up in violent resistance to the most powerful empire on Earth? Probably not, but it was certainly brave and worthy of admiration. Would I have done what Kyle did? No, I don’t think I would have; but I’m a person who is cowardly. I like to keep a low profile and avoid situations like the one that Kyle found himself in. When Ben said "get out" of California, he is missing the fact that not all people have the option. Farmers, whose work in red parts of California are not just essential in California but in the nation, because of the food grown there. If they leave, we all pay more for vegetables and other food staples. Also, unlike a business like Daily Wire, a farm cannot just pick up and leave, land, equipment, these things are not portable and so we have to save the agricultural parts of California, we can't all just leave even if we were inclined to.

Klavan said something so important at about 23 minutes in, he said "All of these ideas are luxury ideas".....I am not sure that he meant this, but that sums up why wokeism is doomed to eventually fail, but may take us down with it. When people are at sustenance level, they are not worried about climate change, gender theory, or crt, they are worried about putting food on the table, heating or cooling their homes, and having a functional economy where they can provide for themselves now, and sustain enough wealth to give their children a chance to provide for themselves in the future. Why do China and India not care about meeting the same climate change mandates as Biden and European leaders? Because they are seeking the means to become powerful enough to challenge the economic supremacy of the west over the last 75 years. Why do Muslim countries and even secular countries like China not embrace transgenderism and gay rights and theories about toxic masculinity? Because they are fighting a battle to establish cultural supremacy and have no desire to water down their faith with theories they see weakening the masculinity and supremacy of the of the west, they want to replace it, not coexist with it. Ancient Greek city states fell to Rome because in their opulence, they embraced "luxury thinking". Rome fell to the vandals and goths of central Europe for the same reason. When you believe you are unconquerable, you can stop thinking in terms of survival and expand into nihilism, and shortly thereafter, it is over for you as a culture. Americans have to decide, do we decline into mental opulence now, or do we return to the work ethic and cultural themes that brought us to world hegemony? Unfortunately, even as we fight back against extremes, it seems the long term direction of America is decline.
