So glad to hear your thoughts. Haven’t ridden it yet but really looking forward to it💦 I was hoping for a few animatronics in the queue. Not a fan of the font that they used on the signage. Would have themed the truck better especially not using a wrap vinyl style. They made quite a big deal on the weathervane, even showcasing it on a Disney Parks episode. Haven’t even seen it? I would have put it in the loading area and illuminated it at night 🤔 just being a little picky but I know some of the legendary imagineers would have kept it more in the 1927 time frame.

Sorry not sorry to say that the "storytelling" in this ride is really quite poor. Why are we here? A party? There's no anticipation or excitement to be alive after the big drop. It kinda leaves ya like Meh okay i guess we're at the party now. 😑😔 Makes it a One and Done ride for me where as i could've rode with Brair Rabbit all day long on any January morning with a 5 min wait. But this, nah.

It’s just for new and really popular rides so that you aren’t standing on line for 4 hours in the heat. And who doesn’t have a phone it’s 2024

This is how they do new openings now. Which makes sense. When a new ride opens the lines are massive. Having people sign up for a queue makes it fair and allows the line to be spread out over the day. Once the ride has been opened for a few months they start to phase it out. It does make issues for people can’t use a phone, but I’m sure if they talked to a cast member they would help them out.

Technically, the ride does have a sort of villain. Lari, the Armadillo, is kind of lawful evil if you follow his storyline (starts in the queue) throughout the ride.

@@TheDailyWoo the bobsled style logs are better on my legs than the cutoff side by side seating of that in Disney World. Nowhere near as cramped and you can't stretch your legs out at Disney World. Plus, if I didn't want my feet wet it was much easier at Disneyland to avoid that by sticking my legs out and lifting up. Many times at Disneyland I walked off with my body soaked but my feet perfectly dry. LOL!

"It makes it easier for kids" was the one reviewer's comment, not an excuse from Disney or a reason they gave and his comment there was in reference to it being plot light in general. That said I don't expect that to be Disney's goal. The Little Mermaid ride and plenty of others have plot and villains. I don't know about the no voodoo reasoning. They sell Facilier stuff pretty regularly even in park. They also feature him along with other villains at the Halloween nights. I don't think they are hiding him. It may be animal focused as a nod to splash mountain but I don't know.

I still feel Splash Mountain is way superior to Tiana's. I think Disney made a huge mistake not putting in any element of danger or Dr. Facilier in this ride. I feel the storyline is very weak. That said, it still has it's positives like the amazing animatronics, etc., but it doesn't hold a candle to Splash.

Agree 100%. They had a superior ride and destroyed it. While the ride track itself is the same, there is a lot of empty/wasted space with the visuals (Splash had 68 animatronics, this has 17), the ending song is nothing compared to Zippity Doo Dah and it didn't even capture the charm or fun of the Princess and the Frog. In my opinion, people will still ride it (if they can keep it up and running) for the hill and the water, but Splash Mountain will always be missed.

I think they definitely missed the mark by not having Dr. Facillier in the ride. Doesn’t really feel like an “adventure”. Tiana’s animatronic even seems kind of bored on the ride… especially when she’s sitting on the stump way at the end of the tunnel and waiting and waiting and waiting until she finally wakes up just to say one line. They could have refreshed and fixed up Splash and given Tiana her own ride and included Dr. Facillier and it would have been a big win… just my opinion. Great video Adam.

Let’s go back to just waiting in line , isn’t that the fairest most equitable way for families to get on the rides they prioritize. I don’t want to go on this ride,but the family that does with 4 kids doesn’t have to pay more money, or suffer the melt down and disappointment of those kids that may have only had one day at the park. Even the fast pass system you had to prioritize and wit in line, there was an old hack if you booked through AAA travel where you could get two fast passes at a time. I waited in a 30 min line at rope drop once the year Radiator springs opened. It just seems so much more complicated and stressful and less magical😕As for removing villains from rides, if the villain is too traumatizing for a ride, why is it ok for a movie aimed at children?

Those beignets look a lot more legit than the Mickey shaped ones are served over at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, that aren't hollow but cakey inside. 12:25 I think that was a mistake on Disneys end. Yes they removed the rabbit piece head from the actual log, but it still made it in the toys. Probably the next batch of toys they will not have the rabbit head on the log.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is wokism embodied in ride form. It’s vapid, boring, stupid, low quality, uninspired, unimaginative, and has a weak, uninteresting plot. The ride has substantial blank spaces and lacks quality show scenes because Disney is no longer able to create quality dark rides with animatronics and three-dimensional show scenes that don’t rely on screens to tell the story. The few animatronics are low quality despite the supposedly advanced technology used for them. The music is uninspired and terrible. The ride scene before the first big lift hill features what appears to be a plywood wall with pictures of food painted on it. I hope this is just a temporary construction wall and not a permanent show scene. Disney’s quality has declined so markedly that it’s no longer possible to discern the difference between a construction wall and what Disney considers good enough to be a permanent show scene. This ride would have been better off being based off of The Princess and the Frog movie and should have included Dr. Facilier. Tiana's Bayou Adventure is abysmal in its own right and is made even worse by the fact that it replaced Splash Mountain which was a fantastic ride that ranked among the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean as Disney’s best rides. Splash Mountain was not racist and did not need to be replaced. Tiana's Bayou Adventure was not a “necessary downgrade” as the Disney apologist blog, Blog Mickey, absurdly states. Downgrading Splash Mountain was unnecessary and was done to appease a woke fringe minority who is offended by everything. Disney wants to condition its park guests to accept a downgraded, lackluster park experience as normal which guests should never accept. Customers should refuse to spend money on a terrible, purposely downgraded experience. The frequent breakdowns of this ride must be part of the “necessary downgrade” of Splash Mountain to Tiana's Bayou Adventure and are symbolic of the decline of Disney.

I heard it keeps breaking down because it is too humid in the mountain. The animatronics may never work in WDW. Disneyland could be better as it is less humid.
