Adam - First off I'm a long-time viewer and fan. Love your channel! I'm also a Charlotte native, born and bred! Just a couple of facts to compliment your video: -The first sign you showed was for The Chicken King, which used to have a killer lunch. -The clock tower in front of the Wells Fargo tower was completed in 1988. -The Dairy Queen and Eskimo Girl have been there on Wilkinson Blvd. since 1947. Thanks for showcasing Charlotte! It was so cool to see my hometown on your channel! Welcome to the Queen City and the Tarheel State!

You’re channel has turned into our favorite over these last few weeks, and we appreciate your perspective. You deserve a much needed break when you get home to Florida! When my son and his family lived in Florida, I almost always had to get a connecting flight in Charlotte. I could see the city skyline when landing and taking off from the airport. How nice to see bits of the city after seeing it from the air for a few years. Adam and Scott, I wish you both safe travels back to your respective homes as I’ve read this collaboration will be ending soon. I really hope you two get together on occasion and do some filming. This has been such a treat. I’d love to see Adam showing Scott around Florida and likewise Scott showing Adam around Canada.

Creative Loafer - I like that job title. Who knew that filming and stating the obvious could be such a lucrative career. Where do I sign up? From my understanding, those objects on top of the building had nothing to do with the weather. Those are microwave antennas. Back in the day, long distance calls were handled through such a system. That is why those calls were so expensive. I’m sure those antennas are still in use for one reason or another.

@Chaotic-Demise772 жыл бұрын
Yes, traffic is horrendous there. 485 was supposed to help with that, when it actually got worse. I remember when the made another lane and traffic would still get backed up (thanks to the Ballantyne area). I did part time work at a studio in Belmont a few years back and dreaded the traffic on 485. The more populated it gets, the traffic will only get worse.

Love it...Just a head's up...if you go to a coffee shop, ask for a Blonde coffee, A Blonde Roast has more caffeine. Ask for a shot or two of Esppresso...and see if you do not go to the Moon and back. I am no blondie,,,but a Cherokee, yet I have heard the lighter the roast of the beans, the more caffeine. is concentrated. YES,,,THE QUEEN CITY...I am in the process of writing a novel about it. I used to order all kinds of beans from the Net and grind them myself with an Amish-made grinder, and it was awesome...nothing co pares to the taste, and if you are seeking effects from caffeine, nothing compares to that. I have even thought about wruting a TV series script called ''Queen City''.

Just finished chapter 3 of The Queen City of my novel...I have serious brain fog. I guess I need one if those ''piping hot caffeinated beverages'' from...SOMEWHERE. Honestly...where does Adam the Woo get all his energy? It cannot all be from coffee. If it were, I would be sailing in mid air right now.

Hey Adam, something else I forgot to mention, if you took hwy 74 west going into Charlotte, you would've passed the Charlotte Coliseum (dome top), can't remember the exit number but, to the right is one of the T.V station (WJZY I think). Old Charlotte Hwy/7th St. run parallel with hwy 74. I used to live off Old Charlotte Hwy. If you head back east on 74, check out Monroe. It has a lot of historic homes (I used to live in one of them). There's the old Manetta Mills in Monroe (it used to be a textile mill til the mid 80's, it's a ghetto now sadly). It's cool to know you & Scott are on my old stomping grounds. Hope you 2 have fun, enjoy your visit & journey! Welcome to Charlotte, N.C!

"You don't see these anymore..." haha, reminded me of the George Harrison scene in Hard Day's Night when he's in the production office. Charlotte is an intriguing city, but downtown is very strange as it doesn't have a lot of nightlife or people out and about (even pre-pandemic). Started going to Charlotte in the mid-80s, and each time I go back it seems like it has sprawled out a little bit more - like a miniature Houston.
