The Nymphs need about a year to become adult after "hatching" and the males have a lifespan from half- to a 3/4 year while the females have about 1 year after they become adult. Some may live longer but many dont even reach that span. My very first died after the 3rd molt without reason. It's just nature, things happen. I'm glad you got some good "eggs" right there and that they are hatching :)

Man the "hobby form" is actually from Honduras and the fluffy one is from Nicaragua. They are from different localities and pairing them would contaminate their genome. Best to get an Albopilosum Honduras male and a Nicaragua female.

I can see both sides of the breeding 'problem'. B albops HF are Honduras but have been hybridised in the hobby for years as locality was not always recorded on batches coming into the UK etc, so in that respect pairing with the B albop NF is just continuing the Hobby Form line. HOWEVER, this sets back the future efforts of trying to create (re-create) two seperate lines of Honduras & Nicaragua types. Actively trying to identify each one the best we can and breed each line seperate seems the best option for future lines. Cross breeding seems a step backwards but the resulting offspring are a hybrid that already exists in the Hobby!!? Tough One!

about the different types of Brachypelma albopilosum Ive read that people think the hobby form is actually a hybrid of albopilosum and vagans
@TheDarkDen6 жыл бұрын
No one can know for sure, but whey probably hybridized at some point. Anny could be also WC, I don't really know how old is she and what is her origin.
@SuperLoops6 жыл бұрын
more and more spiders are having their genes sequenced to find out their actual evolutionary relationships and I think someone is doing Brachypelmas right now, they already found out that there are two separate groups that arent closely related at all. theres albopilosum and vagans and kahlenbergi in one group and all the ones w/ orange legs like boehmi and smithi and hamorii in the other group and Brachypelma should really be two genera. maybe they will look at hobby form albos and say what they really are. they could just be from a different region to the Nicaragua ones, like all the different kinds of orange biter come from different places. i love Brachypelmas Ive got 5 of them 😍

there shouldn't be an issiue breeding them. However you wont be able to sell the slings as nicarague anymore, and the slings will be Hobby form also. The fluffyness of the slings will decrease from beign bred with a hobby form and therefor will make em hobby forms too and not nicaragua.
@TheDarkDen6 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course, I'm aware of that :)
@kaiw.75656 жыл бұрын
But B. albopilosum builds huge eggsacks with 500-800 eggs in it, even if you give away only the half of them they will be spread in the hobby. Even if ypu dont sell/give them away as pure ones, but as hybrids (which they are), im sure some of them will get into the hands of less expirienced keepers who might assume they are in fact nicaraguan. Thats (together with people who intentionaly did so) one of the reasons why the B. species had such a big issue with hybridisation. Im sure you will find a female B. albopilosum nicaragua, and i would not recomend breeding those two as well, simce crossbreeding is over all a real problem in the hobby - even if the slings get sold labeled correctly. But in the end: your spiders, your choice. But pls rethink
@Lisssssard6 жыл бұрын
Disagree. It will become a hybrid of hobby form and Nicaragua. So wrong. Not wonder I avoid other hobbyists. Y'all remind me of climate change deniers and anti vaxxers.

Your English is very good and I would say that the level that is taught to L2 (English as a second language) or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) is attempting to copy native speaker levels are quite difficult due to the linguistic development of English resulting in very specific grammar and syntax (word order and rules) that is difficult to master Love the videos 😁👍
