Maybe some of you have read my previous comments elsewhere but i got a demo cut right before Christmas in 1971 and it was getting Radio airplay at WVUD in Dayton Ohio. I have not gone a week without listening to part or all of this album outside of basic training and combat since it release. One of the best written and performed compositions and certainly worthy of Super Group status.

Do you know what kind of bass Lee Dorman was using at this show?

@@AndreSP89 i seen him with two in Dayton 72. Both fenders. The intro to the first show was the Deep Purple "Hush" that Rod sang in 68 and Lee was playing a white fender jazzmaster. The same the following year on "Distant Sun". The other i am not 100% certain but i thought it was also a fender just from the look of the machine head

@@wesleyhitchcock4414 That's awesome man! I did Bass Covers of both albums you can check them out here kzbin.info/aero/PLjzlTYRovnylPcg9M9O2JQY3b9UeLG2ta and kzbin.info/aero/PLjzlTYRovnykWabeqolltFBo08aJPOpq3 For the second album it really has a Rickenbacker sound not 100% sure if he used one on the second album but I ended up using my 1979 4001 Fireglow for those songs. Enjoy!

Capricorn had some great bands back then. Allman Bros, White Witch, Capt Beyond to name a few. You can hear some influencing going on like in the lead guitar breaks. I reckon Duane was the influencer.

@@tvs3497 Rhino Reinhardt was actually a schoolmate of Dickey Betts. and was part of that whole Jacksonville, Florida scene which spawned the ABB. In fact, he was part of the band which later became the Allman Brothers Band. One of the finest guitarists in the scene at that time. Also check out Iron Butterfly's 'Metamorphosis', which Rhino played on, and bassist Lee Dorman. Captain Beyond were a supergroup then. This is one of the greatest albums too few have heard.
