Thank you for doing the reaction, sorry it wasn't exactly your cup of tea, but thank you for giving it a listen with an open mind. And 6.4 is certainly not a bad score, so no complaints here. To answer your question though, the footage was live concert footage from Momoko's first show as a full member of the group on April 2, 2023. Obviously not the live audio, but while a couple of the video effects may have been added in post to make the music video, what you saw on the screens in the background behind them was there during the live show in real time. Good reaction as always. No arguments on your reasoning, and I’ll echo what everyone else said about checking out the pro-shot actual live audio versions. While this is not my favorite, most epic, or most technical (musically or vocally), I still love this song. I have the live version in my playlist constantly. Look forward to the next one! 🤘🦊

When they started to release short snippets of songs in advance of the new album announcement this was the song that intrigued me most - and it did not disappoint me at all ... but the live audio (as too often this was a live performance with the studio audio dubbed over for the video - they saved the live audio for the DVD) is so much better with CJ Masciantonio adding his own touches and flavours to the guitar solos and all the other things that make BABYMETAL's live audio better. Other than that road-runner has already said anything else that needed saying.

Well, for BM MV it's pretty easy to spot it: if there is Live audio, they put it in the title! Like for the Road of Resistance Live in Japan 😆 They started releasing some more recently, and many fans have been quite pleased about it! I love eletronic music, that's why i have Metalizm as my favourite song of the album ahahah But i had a feeling you wouldn't have liked this much 😄

I respectfully believe that you have to do yourself a favor and watch the actual live performance. Not even a mention of the Phrygian dominant and just ranting about the studio recording and the digital thing and trying to avoid the supposed "hate" most of your review. Disappointed, David. Also, visuals are actually a live performance, they never "staged" a music video in an environment like that.

Well, in other news, Fate Gear, just dropped their new album, The Vanguard Of Hades. Very interesting album here, to say the least. "This fate" which is their first title track, is a baller. Maybe their most ambitious album to date here. Being a combination of some new studio singles like Force Of the Holy, Devils Pact. Along with recent live performances of Unbreakable Wings, Scares of my Life, and even, wait for it Headless Goddess lol. Damn wasn't expecting them to bring back Destrose here. _____________________________________________ However, I am not complaining in the slightest. Which Bring Me to this reaction which I think is fair. Babymetal latest effort with their 4th album, I think, was a good effort. They have definitely matured a lot and while not my favorite track. You can't fault them for trying new things. However, one thing I like about Fate Gear over Babymetal. __________________________________________________ Which in the most respectful way possible here being a fan. Is why they haven't done what Fate Gear is doing right now with their classic live performances. Babymetal has so many that haven't been heard live in years. Su-Metal more mature vocals and experience would bring new life to these classic performances. Rondo of Nightmare, Tales of Destinies, Catch Me If You Can, Amore, among others. Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Nice to see you're back with another track from the latest album, As a rule of thumb, if you don't see "live" in the title then is not a live sound. It's all good with your honest opinion, i disagree although i gotta be honest i won't look desperately for this song to be played live, in fact during the recent Europe Tour they didn't play this song, they barely played any song from latest album except Monochrome just a couple of times. Another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it. Queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, maybe Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM. This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with the already new official member MomoMetal, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and coming from the same roots in Sakura Gakuin just like the girls. The Western Kami Band was performing there but this MV got album studio sound so there's no particular credits for the instruments only the composer and lyrics. Some fans at World Tour 2023 were enjoying this song live, but everyone were having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs. Without a doubt, this album got a lot of songs mixed with edm elements and I'm down for it, totally my jam. Btw yesterday they announced they will be for the first time in South America at Knotfest in Brazil, The One is getting crazy, hopefully they will add more countries. Happy belated birthday to MoaMetal and see you next time 🦊🤘🐨

Babymetal fans are intense with their appreciation of the group but they're not unreasonable like some.. other fans 🤣 It's not my favorite song by any means and I knew you'd dislike the absence of the band. This song is, for me, an auto skip. I would get hate by the fandom with my rating. Its a space filler imo, a mini experiment. not every BM song wins imo. top 10 of my less favorite songs they ever made. possibly bottom 5

I disagree with you. Here are some insults, name calling, and a few threats on top.😂 Jokes aside, It's ok DH. It was bound to happen, eventually, given how many songs BM has. Also, 6.4 in the new scale is pretty ok for me. In fact I'm curious about how Road of Resistance would be scored. You gave it more than 9 first time you heard it, but it was in the old system. And, we all value your honest and professional input, giving it a fair evaluation, even if you dont feel the song itself. Keep it up!

Your post from the first word to the last is 100% accurate. I take the approach that these MVs or Official performances still sound great. They are an introduction to first time listeners, and I do not recall a comment saying they “sound bad”, except those who just don’t care for BABYMETAL. For members of The One, we have our preferred live performances on our play lists, to enjoy whenever we want. Again, my goal in supporting any BABYMETAL performance is to spread the “spirit” of BABYMETAL: joy, happiness, fun, respect. 🦊 🖖❤

My main gripe with the song is that it's basically the same sequence repeated twice, right down to the solo. One might argue that it's not really a solo, but possibly even acts as a chorus. But it could have been more interesting with some form of variation.

This is a divisive song even within the BABYMETAL community, love it or hate it kind of deal. Personally I was excited for this one while they were teasing the new songs with snippets before the album came out, some of the elements gave me Combichrist - Blut Royale vibes with the industrial feel and I think, for me, the full song delivered. But I understand and respect it doesn't resonate with everyone.

Well it was part of the wave to make special songs for concerts in different countries. Often enough the countries didn't necessarily identify with the song that was done for them. It was often enough designed for a theoretical situation and often enough without any real.ecperience of this culture.

Thanks for your honest review and score. You should not apologize for giving a low score while it is clearly argumented. Now, of course, I disagree. It is not their best song, to say the least, but Babymetal has songs that I like less than this one, and for which you gave a higher score. So the score is a little bit harsh, in my view. If you really want to give a negative scoring to a Babymetal song, try "The End", you won't be disappointed (

Honestly, I don't like this song either. I listened to it once and that was enough. The entire last album is my least favorite. I went to their concert in Warsaw 2 weeks ago and I'm very happy that they played many older songs. They are much better.

Fair score. Not my favorite song either. Genuine question though. Are babymetal fans generally respectful? I haven't noticed a lot of rude fans. Sometimes when the reactor says something disrespectful like I heard one guy call their dancing garbage, he got hit over the head, then one guy said he didn't like them because they didn't play their own instruments a lot of people were asking him what some his favorite robert plant riffs were, he eventually stopped accepting comments but you are always more than respectful. That's something I really appreciate about you. You could listen to the go go's and say something nice about them. Are babymetal fans rude when you give a bad score?

BabyMetal does EDM? Not really in my view. The Other One, album from BabyMetal, is a branch away, even for BabyMetal. 😊 It is terrible you have to pander and explain to the shallow fans from any band. The issue is with them, not with you. As you explained, all digital and Su, may have spoken the words and they could have been digitally mixed for this song. I would have scored it lower.
