I registered as Republican in 1980 at age 18. I never voted a straight party ticket, but tended to vote Republican. In 2016 I was a "anybody but Hillary" voter and voted for Trump. After seeing the trainwreck that was the Trump presidency, and the absolute lack of backbone shown by the Republican "leadership" in allowing Trump to take over the party, I changed my party affilliation to Independent in 2020,and was a “anybody but Trump” voter that year. I did early voting a few days ago. I did not vote a straight-party ticket, but did vote for Harris-Walz. I did not vote for any incumbant Republican.

I would like to see former Georgia Lt Gov. Geoff Ducan (R) return. I was republican for 12-ish yrs. Voted Obama twice. Didn't vote in 2016 & regret it. Voted Biden in 2020 and dems in 2022 mid term. Republicans decided extremisim & misinformation their platform. As a 21 yr US Air Force veteran, it makes my heart sink to see Americans devolving into the very thing we stood against in WWII 😔

I voted for him in 2016 which was a huge mistake that I still feel guilty about to this day. He lost me at his CIA speech soon after his inauguration. I thought he would be a serious president, but that speech proved he would be as much of a fool as he was on the campaign trail. I've voted Dem ever since then 2018, 2020, 2022 and now 2024 for Kamala.

The tariffs in the 1920s at the beginning of the Great Depression caused prices to increase, made England retaliate with their own tariffs and almost caused a quagmire. That is largely why we have the current trade agreements. Why make the same mistake twice? People dont realize how many American made products have foreign parts. Like it or not, we are part of a global economy. And instead of creative tax structures that dont work, maybe we need to look at the design of our cars for example. If CEOs and accountants would stay out of the design process and actually let engineers design and build a car, we may just have one that will last to 280,000 miles with low maintenance. The problem is we cannot compete. Why do you think so many people buy Toyota and Honda? We have always been an innovative nation. We can do this and much more.

It’s hard to admit when we’re wrong, it’s human nature. These men had the courage to look into the red flags, not ignore them & admit they made a mistake voting for him. Glad they’re speaking up. If it changes the mind of 1 person it’s so worth it! He’s a soulless conman!
