How to Paint Realistic FUR Easily

Not sure how to paint realistic fur on your favorite animals? Today we’re going to be learning how to paint realistic fur with oil paint easily in this tutorial.
I work with oil paint but you can make this work with acrylics too.
(Using a slow-drying medium will be a huge help!)

You can definitely create realistic fur without glazing if you are much more careful with your colour mixing throughout your painting. I personally find glazing to be much easier, and gives you more flexibility 😊

I watched someone else's video just prior and he was discussing the 'glazing technique' in greater detail which helped me with your video. This was such a great video. Exactly the instruction I needed. Would love to see a video on painting very short fine hair such as the nose of a tiger with short strokes where the fur is very thin. This I find is the hardest area to do
