No kidding restaurants in Austin are on a revolving evolution. I used to go to a BBQ restaurant near the northwest corner of the UT campus to get their etouffee. Im part Cajun and no beat grandma's food, but this place charged an arm and a leg for the etouffee, but it was awesome. They closed after I moved away.

All the places in Lockhart and Luling City Market. But I haven't found it outside of that area. It's the best sausage on earth.

@@TheDaytripper 100% accurate. Smittys, Kreuz, Blacks and even Chisholm Trail ALL have good sausage rings. So does Southside Market in Luling. Also, any other BBQ place in Texas is going to VASTLY overcharge for sausage.

@@samuelalton79 Don't waste your time there...local who lives a mile from Bull Creek Park here. Creek is flowing low and polluted at the moment. I'd recommend Lake Austin or Barton Creek for a swim instead.
