@@shawnjavery as a gy-centered deck enjoyer yes I would say that as well, but let's be honest except Kash most decks that truly utilize shifter are severely underpowered in comparison.

@@babrad The vast majority of decks use the gy in one way or another, either having some triggers in it or cards that get value from retriving stuff from the gy. Shifter is usually either the best card in the game to have in a situation or it does nothing, very little in between. Not to mention it also insulates those decks from droll, ghost ogre, and effect veiler, with the first 2 going to be everywhere next format. The card just doesn't have much interaction for most decks, like there's plays you can do under shifter, for instance tear could go bagooska pass, but not every deck has that as an option. For most of them its just pass turn or draw the negate for it.

@@shawnjavery so is dweller, or even Lancea (the exact opposite of shifter). But I have the same opinion. The irony on this is that while people complain about that type of cards, they want back Colossus and 3 Misc (one is floodgate + extender, the other is blanket immunity + starter + extender)

the sad part is that game 1 hes actually playing masq, so he could of just made masq, but his opponent on 1 activation. He loses to drnm anyway, but still its weird he dint go for masq just in case he some how had something more.

That's just completely wrong. Avian is way better than Raiza at the moment.

I think that a 1-1 rateo is good in main. avian against branded is very good, better than raiza. Raiza is usefull just to bounce mirrorjade but avian is a omni that you can loop 2 times in a turn and negates 2 times

Raiza is only good under Shifter. If you go book your opponent with the trap when summoning Apex most of the time that is game. Raiza can't provide that.

avian and raiza have their own strengths. you need both in your deck no questions asked
