@11:25 Pretty sure they're striking the eff to special from hand here - the synchro eff can only be used during BP, they just put it on the field before declaring on DB. Also, if the opp uses a monster effect to synchro summon, you can't strike the summon, you have to strike the effect to synchro. It'd be like using a spell/trap effect to synchro summon, which I think yang zing (or something?) used to do in order to play around strike when that card was really prevalent.

you can strike those synchro summons specifically because the wording of the card says "after this effect resolves" the only scenarios where it doesnt work is if the synchro summon isn't the last thing that happens, like fenrir ch1, chundra ch2 for example
