Job title would be Press Brake Operator. Definitely want to avoid scenarios like bend 4. Can easily avoid having arms in the machine with proper setup. Good way to accidentally have an employee get some tonnage applied to their limbs lol. Also want to avoid applying pressure against the part while it is being bent. Can throw your angles out of tolerance. Also makes it hard for QA because your angles aren't consistent. Equipment looks nice though and work area looks clean.

you are correct that this is a dangerous setup, but it is a common one because it ensures the measurement from one bend to another is correct even if the part varies in size. the proper way to do it though would be to have the press only open about a quarter inch from step 3, which is enough to get the part in, but not enough to get his arm in between the dies

Do not like arms inside hydraulic jaws. I just don't like it. I also don't walk under loads suspended by hydraulics or rigging.

I wouldn't even reach through the brake to adjust the fingers let alone bend something. This is unsafe. Equipment looks mint though.

The machine is designed so that the press surfaces can't come together. The only parts that can pinch are the press fingers/bending jigs.
