When Rey experienced the Force on Ahch-To, she said that the dark was trying to show her something. Luke said it offered her something she needed, and that she didn't stop herself. I think Rey's pull to the dark and Kylo's pull to the light will bring them together for the good of the Galaxy and their happiness as a couple. Waiting for Episode 9!

Rey wanted to know where her parents where and the dark side wanted to tempt her. Nothing more nothing less. It's not some mystery or dark side power within her. She is a good person inside and not selfish. Finding balance within one's self is what this trilogy is pushing. It's not some silly dark side power vs light side power video game nonsense. Kylo is unbalanced because he is selfish, emotional, impatient, needy, murderous, and not a nice person in general. Just like anyone in real life can be good or bad. No one is immune in committing evil acts. Star Wars and the force is a morality tale. With great power comes great responsibility. The Skywalkers have failed this morality test two times already. Once with Anakin and now with Kylo Ren. I believe Luke cutting himself from the force was the smartest choice for the Skywalkers because they can't handle that much power without destroying themselves. So anyone thinking that the last movie of this Skywalker saga is going to end with a happy ending for the Skywalkers are fooling themselves. Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams have said that Ep 9 is the last movie for the Skywalker saga and Disney is moving away from Star Wars belonging to them. Rey not being a Skywalker/Solo is clear enough message that Disney is moving away and going in their own direction.

Sweet video! I personally prefer the theory of both Rey and Kylo going Gray and forming a Gray Jedi Order, but the idea of them staying on their respective sides, but together teaching both sides, is certainly intriguing. I don't care for the idea of the Republic and Empire coexisting, but that's more my personal political beliefs coming into play, as I know that some people and planets preferred the Empire's rule over the Republic's. I agree Rey will not go completely dark, and that Kylo will not go completely light.

I do not think it will be called a Gray Jedi. They will probably either keep it as Jedi and get rid of all of those stupid rules that are a recipe for later problems or they will call it something else. I get your meaning though, an order that is balance because the Jedi did kind of suck in a way. Yoda yells and belittles Anakin, a ten year old, because he misses his mom even though he's young and has been a slave all his life. So, instead of helping him work this out and talking with him (like I think Quo Gon would have) Yoda dictates things to him that he's probably too young to understand or grasp. I was like "fuck you Yoda, he's a kid, what do you expect him to do? Man up when he's only 10 years old?" All of the sudden, Yoda is like "failure is the best lesson" and I'm like "why don't you sit this one out Einstein or Socrates?"

And I think one of the big points of the ST so far is to point out the failings of the Jedi Order, and how their blind dogmatism helped usher in the the rise of the Sith and the Empire. That prophecy we know was talking about him since Leia said she knew her son was half and half dark and light, but through refined Jedi sight is possibly about Rey that gets to a higher level of jedi than before and can refine him into the man he ll become. Just what I think. Synonyms for resolving are settling, sort out, solve, find a solution to, fix, straighten out, deal with, put right, put to rights, rectify. I think its just that simple. I actually feel like Im just pointing out the super obvious we already know he's on a path too finding his balance and he gave Rey a look in the end like he royally Screwed up ( saying it nicely). They ll team up to fight the big bad in 9. First 1/3 of the movie will probably be hux figuring out he committed high treason. We'll also see the knights of Ren too finally too which will help because theres not many people left to fight the empire until Kylo whips his homey's out.

Great theory! I'm open to having a true balance in the force. However, instead of seeing Rey and Kylo Ren staying completely light and completely dark to achieve this balance, I think it'd be interesting for them to have this balance within themselves. I like the idea of peace through balance, but the scenario you’re describing sounds more like a Cold War. We won’t try, and destroy you because you’ll hit back tenfold. I like the idea of them setting up a new republic based on grey Jedi. Then you set up a scenario with them having to defend their galaxy, from a galaxy that considers all force users dangerous. One of the reasons I think we took a detour to Canto Bite, was to show that there were a group of people who wanted a need for constant conflict. That way they continue to make money. The human ego is made up of two components. The Id, our dark desires, and the Super ego, our light desires. Both keep the ego in balance. The Id protects us from being harmed, or treated unfairly. While the Super ego prevents us from harming others, and helps us care about more that just ourselves. Love is not a good emotion, it’s a positive one. Just like Hate is not an evil emotion, it’s a negative one. Emotions aren’t bad. What’s good, or bad, is how you react to them. Love, and Hate, are both equally powerful emotions. Both can be utilized for destruction. I feel the force ego may also have an Id, and a Super Ego just like all living things.

Heidi Fedor - I think your theory of the Force (I hate this guys use of 'Cosmic Force' which sounds very close to a preordained controlling God mode) is very close to the truth. The Force in Star Wars canon is basically a balanced life energy equilibrium or what biologists call homeostasis in balanced and dynamic opposition with the necessary negative forces of chaos and decay or entropy etc. Similar to our libido (life seeking) and destrudo (death seeking) terms in psychology. Both are necessary to the growth and maintenance of any sustained Eco system. However, I'm not sure I agree with you about the 'Grey Jedi' because the true Jedi should already BE in balance with the Force and the Dark Jedi who later metamorphosed into the Order of the Sith are basically providing that anti life destrudo Force that opposes natural balance with their rigid and fixed order based on a hierarchical 'might is right' basis of power and destruction! The reason the Jedi fell is that after the apparent victory over the Sith, the Jedi Order itself became victim to the forces of stagnation, entropy and decay in their own practices and fell into rigid inflexibility. They were no longer truly balanced Jedi. These true Jedi (the prime Jedi from the TLJ Temple on Ahch-To) were already balanced and are what many are now calling 'Grey Jedi' by mistake? Many Reylo's have some puerile romantic fantasy that Kylo/Ben and Rey having a relationship together (and children) while still maintaining themselves on the opposite poles of the light and dark side is somehow possible but it obviously is not. You cannot be just a 'little bit evil' because that does not make you a Grey Jedi but a Dark Jedi and eventual Sith. The true Grey Jedi must synthesise the negative and positive energy but not create or cause evil actions. I've even read some Reylo's talking about Rey RULING alongside Kylo/Ben and missing the whole moral point? I pretty much agree with you comment but can you describe your interpretation of Grey Jedi to me?

Full dark side users eventually turn on each other, and full light side user become too complacent. Both can, and have, lead to each other’s downfall. To be honest, I’ve only seen he nine movies. (Ten, if you count The Holiday Special. Poor me, I actually watched when it aired almost 40 years ago.). I never got into the comics, Rebel, The Clone Wars, or novels. So I may have misunderstood what the term Grey Jedi actually means.

I agree, Heidi. :) To me, I think Ben will have to turn in some way in order for Rey to be in a relationship with him. I don’t think Disney or Lucasfilm would let a heroine make peace and marry someone who stays competely dark...for Ben has and always in conflict. No matter what he does, he cannot kill his father’s heart. He represents conflict within himself. I don’t think he will emerge as this shinning knight of light or anything. If they did leave him like this...the relationship would remain abusive, and for Reylo to be acceptable and Kylo to carry on with his head intact...steps towards the light he must take. :)

in order for balance to happen, I believe reylo will have to be endgame (which I believe already is since they’ve been literally setting this up since TFA). I feel like instead of one teaches darkness and one teaches light they will come together to teach the force. my theory is definitely more towards Grey Jedi in which they’re isn’t sides, it’s just the force and the abilities of it. I hope in the final episode, Rey will read more in the Jedi texts and realize that at one point they’re wasn’t light nor dark sides. anyway great video as always!! always a pleasure to listen/watch!!

I agree with your theory; I also have always thought this as well - that Rey and Kylo are the yin and yang, and that they will bring balance to both the Force and the government of the galaxy. All of the ideas you had were really cool, and I wouldn't be disappointed if that is the way JJ decides to go. However, I prefer more of the Gray Jedi or "New Jedi" (name it whatever) where Kylo Ren and Rey come together to train a new generation of Jedi. Neither dark or light, but maybe neutral or grey. That way they could have teaching of each side and exist as one rather than the seperate, but you can go whatever way you want. If they come together as one instead of still being seperate, I think that is what the balance really is.

So here’s an idea - why couldn’t there be a rule of two in the new order - but the rule is one light side user and one dark side user. They are each others teachers and apprentices. They are partners. They are each others balance and accountability. They could also have masters in their respective area of focus, but they train together and teach each other. My thoughts on balance. In my opinion both Jedi and Sith have become obnoxiously narrow minded as Luke realised when he was on Ahch-To and tried to teach that to Rey. Kylo wants to move away from Jedi/Sith and Rey has the books which she can examine and teach herself without the opinions of previous Jedi masters influencing her....I believe she is the embodiment of 'refined Jedi sight'. There is an opportunity through 'force skype' for Rey and Kylo to discuss/argue about the balance and how to bring it about. Balance can only be achieved by teaching future generations that everyone has light/dark in them and how to identify and overcome character flaws and defects. I think this is what's meant by 'resolving of the grey'. Of course a wee bit of romance between Rey and Kylo would be great too (we need more Skywalkers!). Regarding both of them believing the other will turn I think they are both right. I don't think that Rey will be fully dark and Kylo fully light but they will acknowledge that they have dark/light in them and they will move away from the extremism of the opposite sides of the force. In the elevator scene in TLJ Kylo says Rey will stand with him, which she did when they fought the Pretorian Guards. I love how the force visions don't work out the way they perceive them to. However I wonder what's going to happen when Hux and the Resistance discover Rey and Kylo's cosy 'force skype' chats? If Kylo gets killed will Rey tap into her dark side and find the power to resurrect him as Ben Solo? ( as Palpatine promised to teach Anakin) Will Kylo tap into his light side to save Rey from Hux? I don't think I can last till December 2019 :)

Kylo and Rey would have to dive into that intense romance for either of them to truly want to protect the other, and it makes sense that this would reinforce balance because Jedi are taught to never fall in love (balance for Rey), and Sith are taught to never embrace the light (Kylo), so they achieve ultimate balance in being with each other. Rey and Kylo's relationship is definitely romantic. I mean, did you see The Last Jedi? There was way too much sexual tension for there not to be any romantic interest. It's pretty obvious at this point. The two of them are the future of the Skywalker legacy. They may not be a focus in the next trilogy, but you know Disney is going to bring them back at some point, because why wouldn't they? They love money. Of course they will. So, I definitely don't see Episode IX ending with Kylo's death. That would just be depressing and exactly like Return of the Jedi. The Skywalker saga needs to end in a happily ever after. It just has to, and I believe it will. Kylo is already on the path to redemption. It just makes the most sense.

I wondered about something regarding balance. In TFA, Snoke and Kylo are 2 dark side users. Luke is absent, and Lor San Tekka says "without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force". During TLJ, Luke tells Rey that when he was training Ben, he realized, too late, that he was no match for the darkness rising in Ben. So, before TFA, the scales were tipped toward the dark. Rian Johnson's rationale for Luke's exile is that he believes the Jedi only make things worse, so Luke will take himself (or the Jedi) out of the equation, and the light side will simply find a new conduit, but, in the mean time that still leaves the galaxy, his loved ones, at the mercy of 2 dark side users, for whom Luke says he is no match... Makes no sense. So why did Snoke assume that Skywalker would rise as Kylo's equal in the light, if Luke was no match for him years prior? Who was Snoke's balance then? The force ghosts can summon physical lightning, how do they weigh in on the scale?? Why doesn't Luke recognize Rey as that new light side conduit and train her to hone her power (or, let her absorb Luke's power and training, since that's a fucking thing, now) and right his wrongs, as well as take the burden off of himself, if that's what he wants so badly? Much as I hate to say it, it'd be poetic for Rey and Kylo to redeem the failures of the previous (Luke's) generation, the same way that Luke redeemed the failures of his father's era. I'd also like for the movies to explore deeper, Rey's pull to the dark side, and conversely, Ben's pull to the light. Luke recognizes Rey's going "straight to the dark", but neither he, nor the film, elaborates on it for her, or us. So many points of view!

They need to come together not as with or Jedi but as grey. Something in the middle. Dark and light. Accepting that everything and everyone is a bit of both. And I think that’s what kylo Ren realised at the end on tjl when he ask Rey to join him. Let the past die. He didn’t want to do the same thing where the first order would continue to dominate the galaxy instead he wanted Rey to join him in creating a new order to calmly police the galaxy with less fear and killing. They both make each other more powerful because of their feelings, just they may not have or want to accept that yet. Reylo for life. It needs to happen.

During an interview with Collider, a fan asked Johnson what Kylo was thinking when Rey shut the door on him, if he could go back and fix anything, what would Kylo do differently in terms with Rey. Johnson stated that it was a beautiful question...however, he wouldn’t answer it...LOL Johnson shared instead that with that scene what he was trying to capture with Kylo’s emotional state was a reference to Anakin’s eyes and emotional state at the end of Revenge of the Sith as his helmet went down and he became fully Vader. In terms of Reylo, at that moment, Right before that scene, it is interesting to note that Anakin clearly says, “HELP ME, PADME.” :O In order to hear this, you must hear it with your headphones or something amplified. ;) *REYLO IS ENDGAME*

Another thought. I was watching the Mortis Arc in the Clone Wars Series. And I couldn’t get past the daughter saying to Anakin(after he rescues her) “that was my brothers work.” Later on I realized he pushed the boulders over that threatened her. BUT - my initial reaction to that statement was that the Son exists to protect the Daughter. Or rather, the darkness exists to protect the light. Interesting 😏

Rey wanted to know where her parents where and the dark side wanted to tempt her. Nothing more nothing less. It's not some mystery or dark side power within her. She is a good person inside and not selfish. Finding balance within one's self is what this trilogy is pushing. It's not some silly dark side power vs light side power video game nonsense. Kylo is unbalanced because he is selfish, emotional, impatient, needy, murderous, and not a nice person in general. Just like anyone in real life can be good or bad. No one is immune in committing evil acts. Star Wars and the force is a morality tale. With great power comes great responsibility. The Skywalkers have failed this morality test two times already. Once with Anakin and now with Kylo Ren. I believe Luke cutting himself from the force was the smartest choice for the Skywalkers because they can't handle that much power without destroying themselves. So anyone thinking that the last movie of this Skywalker saga is going to end with a happy ending for the Skywalkers are fooling themselves. Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams have said that Ep 9 is the last movie for the Skywalker saga and Disney is moving away from Star Wars belonging to them. Rey not being a Skywalker/Solo is clear enough message that Disney is moving away and going in their own direction.

I could see Rey and Kylo creating a new Force Order that teaches balance of both the Light and Dark. I'd have their temple built on a Force Nexus like Tython or Lothal, with a library containing both Jedi and Sith knowledge. I think both should be drawn to this planet hoping to seek Light or Dark knowledge on why they are connected. As they explore, an ancient abandoned temple, they receive visions, see spirits and omens that point to the Force itself wanting to finally reunify the Light and Dark sides. In the end, they see Anakin's force spirit, and he seems to be half light, and half dark, and he reveals to Rey and Kylo that like him, Rey and Kylo are vergeance's in the Force, sent by the force to succeed in what he failed, bring balance to the force. As for the battles that will come in 9, I think Snoke's spirit will be the villains. Be unlike previous villains, he won't be a Dark Side villain, he will represent chaos, and the end of the Force. We also learn that he WANTED Kylo to kill him.

I love the idea you presented except for the coexistence of an Empire and a Republic. As someone else here said, that sounds a lot like a cold war situation. If the movies are still following George Lucas' general vision (and I think they do) we know where he stood regarding democracy and dictatorships. It's all but spelled out in the PT. Having the solution be: for a democracy to exist, we need to have authoritarian systems, that's probably not what he might have wanted to say. I think the new government of the galaxy has to be a democracy that has compassion as its core value, while ackowledging the fact that there might always be a need for protection and vigilance. (Leia was criticising the New Republic's pacifistic approach.) The same with the Force. One of the failings of the Jedi were, that they thought that they could achieve balance by just denying our baser desires and instincts and just - as you said - destroy all knowledge of the dark side. Any new force wielders need to know both sides and learn how to use them without limiting their own emotional well-being and their need for attachment of any kind, but also without turning into evil people. Just the same as any of us has to learn to govern both the nice and not so nice sides of our characters without becoming either victims or bullies.

What I dislike about this argument is that this still creates a division among Force users. What I think this new generation of Star Wars is actually getting at is a more wholistic view of the Force, not one that is divided into a Dark Side and Light Side, but a singular, all encompassing Force. I think that Rey and Kylo Ren/Ben Solo need to have this realization in order for balance to be achieved, not to become Grey Jedi, but to understand that these dark and light interpretations of the Force are just that: human interpretations of something far greater. Balance in this sense just means understanding that the Force is not divided at all, but is instead made up of all these aspects. Idk if I’m making any sense, but here’s my two cents anyway. 😊

Finn's hair is longer but, only about 2-3 years longer. TLJ actually shows Snoke was never on the Supremacy. Snoke created all the Reylo MIND LINKS including the one at the end of the film, when Snoke was suppose to be dead. TLJ showed how POWERFUL Snoke is, and how the Skywalkers would never be able beat Snoke specifically how easily Ben Solo could be MIND MANIPULATED. Snoke was FORCE PROJECTING the whole time in TLJ ... as he was completing Kylo's training .... by getting Kylo to kill his good side. TLJ clearly showed Kylo Ren has killed Ben Solo. This is why Rey has now completely rejected Kylo. Ben Solo is now dead. JJ Abrams had a reason for Han to feature in Ep 7 and Kylo kills him .... and then Luke features in Ep 8 and Kylo (wants to) kills him .... and then Kylo tries to kill Leia on the Rebell base and tries to kill Rey on the Supremacy and in the Millennium Falcon. Ben Solo is now dead ...... just as JJ Abrams wanted for Ep 9. Luke telling Leia no one is ever truly gone means Han when he handed her the Die. Darth Vader never killed Anakin as Obi wan had told Luke. This is why Luke did not kill Vader in ROTJ, and why his father was able to be saved. Kylo Ren is beyond redemption. Ben Solo will not be saved. Kylo Ren will be killed by Rey in Ep 9. Personally, I think the Reylo concept is dead. Rian Johnson effectively killed it during The Last Jedi when Rey literally closed the door on Kylo. Her willingness to see a way for him to be redeemed (and, let's be honest, her infatuation with him) essentially died the moment he intended to simply replace Snoke and wanted her to rule by his side. She realized that while Luke's rash action may have been the catalyst, he wasn't the reason Ben became Kylo; Kylo is the reason he became a monster, not Luke. So, I don't think there's going to be any "love will save him" redemption for Kylo, though I do believe that she will still try to save him because she is one of those people who always sees the good in people (just like Luke) and believes everyone deserves to be saved, if they truly wish it.

Great ideas my only problem is that your still keeping the light and dark separate - different planets, different teachers, different orders; even if they can still move between one another and not be at war. For everything to be at balance i dont think you can separate them - it creates competition, opposites still. They need to merge which i guess would mean a grey jedi - something iv just recently heard of. They would need to teach in the same place - one order - only more variety in what they learn. both rey and kylo teach as a team. Both explore and show all qualities both dark and light but grow, teach and execute the best qualities of these sides of the force .Then they are both light and dark and have found balance.

They definitely need to bring balance to the Force. I think that because Kylo/Ben loves Rey so much that he’ll try to turn to the light for her but that it’ll backfire and his darkness will flare up again. Because he possesses True Darkness, it’s something that can’t just be snuffed out. I think that within Rey, her darkness will surface as needed but that invariably she’ll remain light. They’ll balance each other, pulling both ways as needed with whatever situation they’re faced with. That’s how it’ll work. I actually am writing a story where he teaches her both ways of the Force. They develop a relationship and grow together to create balance. If anyone is interested, give it a read. You're a smart guy and I like you videos, however, I am wondering about your wisdom and life experiences. Hey, I'm just the messed up disabled and f'ed up war vet here, but your idea of having two worlds basically is really weird and here is why: Why does there need to be two worlds? Having half the known universe be under the rule of the First Order and have the other half be more democratically based which is more like a republic which people seem to confuse a lot. A Republic is where people elect others to represent them in governmental matters by democratic vote. So, what are they going to do, pick names of planets and systems out of a fishbowl or roll the dice to see which planets, etc go to the First Order or the Republic if they set that one up? And, are the people on these planets, etc have any say in the matter because so far it seems that none of them like the First Order so why should the First Order exist at all? To be continued.

pt 2 Another thing is I do kind of get what you are saying, I think. Are you saying that each planet gets to choose how it will be ruled? If so, then do you really think they will want the First Order especially with Hux or someone like him in charge? That does not seem balanced to me. No, the First Order has to go and that is why I hate it when people say that destroying the First Order will bring balance or that they want the "good guys" riding off into the sunset." That is not what I want, completely. I would much rather see celebration but also a very sobering realization about how to keep the peace and make it last. Before the Empire they had it for a long time until the Jedi became a part of the government it was suppose to protect, so it is possible. HOWEVER, there needs to be the acknowledgement and it needs to be spoken out loud that there will always be evil people like Snoke and Hux, the Emperor who will come and go and will threaten their system of government and upset the peace and the job of the jedi should be to guard against that. It is this reason, this lack of sober realization that led to the downfall of the New Republic. But you make it seem like a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing sort of except they do not die like R and J. Kylo stays with the First Order and Rey stays with the Republic and they can never be together the way they want because the universe needs them to be apart. Yuk! pt 3 The New Order will need to be defeated so that people have choices on how they want to be ruled, whatever it may be. Some may want an authoritarian rule or maybe authoritative, there is a difference as one is completely and totally, and the other is strict with high expectations but also with resources and encouragement to achieve these expectations and some may want total anarchy and it will be up to the people to decide this and then go on from there. Kylo does not have to be evil or dark, he can be light too. There is also darkness in Rey as well and does not have to be all light. Another thing is that Dark and Light need to be defined because there seems to be some misconceptions about what they mean. There is always a bit of darkness to everybody's light just like with evil people and some very uncommon type of characteristics they have. Think of Negan. He's a bad ass who has no problem cracking heads but draws the line at raping women. That's a weird thing. For any balance to happen, people have to stop thinking of things in black and white and start admitting that there are a lot of grey areas, some darker than others but there are some grey areas here and somehow, which I think they are setting up for the next movie, they will find something that has been forgotten that will help with this very thing. Yea, Reylo is endgame so it makes no sense that they would have both of them on opposite ends of the spectrum. You're right, the Jedi got rid of some things that they shouldn't have and the saying that those who forget are doomed to repeat it is illustrated here. They must balance the dark and light within themselves if they are to bring true balance to things so that they will be able to tell or instruct/counsel or whatever to others to help them find that balance too. We have things about ourselves that we know are good and things that are not so good, but are able to balance them and the things that are not so good have their place and can come out when it is needed too. Believe me, I've done it but through the years it evolves because people do and society does.

So...there will be peace in the galaxy, but only as long as Rey and Kylo are both alive? I don't know. Even during their lifetimes, I personally doubt this would be a stable situation. I think that, even with strong vigilance on Kylo's part, there will inevitably be a few strong dark side users that break away and cause trouble. Likewise, I suspect that a few self-righteous students who prefer the light side would decide they need to take matters into their own hands and spread freedom and democracy to the oppressed masses of the Empire (because that works SO well when we try something similar in our world...sigh). My point is, I doubt this arrangement would work for very long without dissolving into conflict, no matter what Rey and Kylo themselves try to teach about tolerating the other side. I prefer the idea of them forming a new kind of unified Jedi order who use both light and dark but don't allow one side to overwhelm the other. The mosaic of the meditating Prime Jedi clearly shows that they are supposed to make use of both.

Anakin was created by Force...The Force was unbalanced at that time (by actions of Jedi order) and by creating Anakin (the MOST powerful Jedi) Force was trying to regain the balance-purpose of his existence was to bring balance to Force...Luke said to Rey that Force is part of every living being or everything around them-can exactly recall, I suspect that in some way Force is sentient, has a mind functioning on totally different lever then human's, so it is really hard to even grasp Force true intentions or needs, but that Force is suffering because of being unbalanced...people just use the Force, but don't understand it, it is just like child playing with a grenade...what could go wrong? Anakin was a complete failure at bringing balance to Force, and the reason for his downfall was the most human emotion, LOVE, the same emotion Jedi order feared so much...their answer was to forbade it...but you can restrict human heart this way, it is unnatural...Power given to Anakin by the Force was inherited by Luke and his sister- so we can safely assume that it is genetically transferred, Luke managed to repair damage done by his father, but Force still did not get what it needed-balance...All this going back and forth from light to dark and vice versa, tips on scale never in balance, I can imagine Force becoming desperate, in perpetual agony...Luke was afraid from Force and picked wrong path, his actions turned still undecided Kylo to dark, but Kylo never went completely Dark-I suspect Force already had plans for him, the Luke renounced Force and become hermit...also he was afraid of Love, knowing that love was downfall for his farther, so he renounced any opportunity to love and have children...his actions forced Force to take a new path to achieve balance goal...Kylo was already available, genetically only heir to Anakin's power...Force needed counterpart of him, so we got Rey...she was born with both parents, but I think that is just Force learning from previous mistake (Anakin was spotted by Jedi because he was fatherless) and this time around Force could not risk Rey being discovered too early and preconditioned by Jedi-additional precaution was to leave her on a desert planet in the middle of nowhere to grow up. Force is puppet master and subtly pulling strings of all for benefit of achieving ultimate goal. Snoke claiming to create Force bond between Kylo and Ren is complete bullshit, Force connected them on purpose...and that purpose is to unite Dark and Light side of Force, it needs to be whole, people divided it so people are only one who can fix it...in which way it can be achieved is still an open question-thru their cooperation to create something new, not Light, not Dark, thru their feelings for each other or in some other way, it remains to be seen...
