Cell phones are great, but I have a shortwave radio, a handled CB, a GMRS radio and while I don't use them often, it would be amazingly easy for an enemy to disrupt satellites and even cell phones. Hopefully I never need any of these beyond turning them on and listening to the vehicles going along the Interstate. I live in Wyoming and we don't have cell phone service everywhere. It is nice to have some backups.

I am sure all of these will have significant discounts on Prime days... A dollar here, a dollar there...lol!!, I always have at least 150-200 items in my saved list so I can carefully watch the prices throughout the year and very few of them are any kind of deal at all on Prime days. I do see a flurry of price increases a few weeks before prime days. There may be some deals but not as much as they try to hype it. Now, if you want an Echo dot, that's a deal..hahaha!

11:34 Don't buy that. The angle of the shaft is going to cause it to be very hard to fight kick backs. PLUS the telescoping part will almost certainly fail and spin around on you causing the blade to hit the ground and kick back at you

I've had a IR 2235timax for over 5 years in a professional shop, it's great. And it will last forever because it only gets used once a month when the cordless impact can't cut it! But yeah it definitely will loosen or snap the lugs right off every time

Have a President McKinley CB and a Wouxum KG-1000G GMRS in my Explorer. Have it set as a overlander/bug-out vehicle. Also, have a Uniden SDA200 scanner plug-in station. Just take the one from the house and slip it into the socket and it's a go.

Driving around as a teenager in the 1970s, using the CB to arrange where to meet friends, and also to talk to girls from surrounding towns who were out driving around, was something that kids glued to their phones won't understand, even if they have 5000 Facebook friends and 20 social media apps. It was a cell phone before cell phones, and it was Tinder before Tinder. Yeah, they can do the same thing with their phones and apps now, but they never knew what it was like to be UNABLE to do any of that. Things like being totally incommunicado even at home, if your sister chose to make a 90-minute phone call. There was never a need for everyone else to hang up, in order to talk on the CB. It kept us from sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring, or worrying about who would or would not be happy to receive a call from us looking for a date. Just gather up your posse of guys and gals, head out in one or more cars with CBs, and see who else was out there having fun like we were.
