Hi everyone! This was the night before Hurricane Ian came so we made the most of what time we could. We catch the Hogwarts Express both ways, get an ice cream at Florean Fortescue's and enjoy some much-loved rides.

Loved the vlog. It seems so long ago now since our 1st day at Dockside on the day after Ian hit. My fave ice cream was the banana soft serve from Florean and Forsteques. People watching on the steps was a fave thing to do x

The boats out there are just boat shells just hulls. They look real just they don’t work. They don’t have actual engines. Plus they are tied down with steel cables so they can’t go anywhere. But they look nice. The ones over at Disney springs are real though mostly antique boats that were collected by a family. Just head to the back of the ampicar restaurant on the dock and you can look at them. If you have time on your next trip head to bass pro shop across the street from the outlet mall on international as that is outdoor heaven but they always have some newer bass boats for sale and you can look at them. Usually I’m looking into the fishing gear area looking for replacements for reels or getting stuff.

It wasn't ideal but seeing the devastation it caused on the coast and other areas put everything in to perspective. Thankfully we hit everything hard in those previous days. We have something booked for early next year - somewhere totally new for us but we are not 100% convinced it will go ahead so don't want to jinx it. There will be visits to themeparks if it does though 🙏 Hope you're having a good weekend 😊👍

I don't think I'd like to be there during a hurricane, but you got some brill wait times. We queued 2 hours for Hagrid in half term week. One of the times on velocicoaster was 75 minutes. Saw some crazy long wait times that we were just not willing to queue in for things like spiderman, kong and transformers. I don't think we're going to get to go again while the kids are at school as it seems a lot to pay for what you get time to do. We've hit exam years now though so we're definitely stuck in school holiday times only.

We're with you Michelle. School holidays only from now on in and the prices are eye watering at the moment anyway. We don't intend to go back until Epic Universe opens but with things as they are, who knows? Have a lovely week ❤️

We didn’t realize there were different drivers on Kong… We will have to pay special attention to that. The thought if Jim in his underpants eating a doughnut is a weird one but we did see a lot of strange sights from our window over the duration of the hurricane so each to their own 😆 🖤

I couldnt imagine staying anywhere else if I was doing universal now other than dockside!! Transport and hotel was brilliant!! We was also leaving ioa that same day at park close and I remember riding hulk last and the park feeling really eery too!! Wish I'd of checked velocicoaster times now though!!! 😆

Awww I didn't realize there is a little cut through from the bathrooms at diagon alley, will defo remember that for next time.did you guys feel like they shortened the mummy ride? Maybe it's because I hadn't been on it in a few years but it felt much shorter when we were there in Oct. My daughter absolutely loved velocicoaster, and managed to do it 8 times during our trip😂 I absolutely adored hagrids. Love your vlogs as always😘😘

It’s an uneasy time being in Florida when a hurricane is heading your way! We were out there in August/Sept 2019 and we had the worry of hurricane Dorian, luckily it did not hit Florida in the end & we managed to fly home the day before anyhow 😅 Glad you managed to make the most of your time out there and got to enjoy those wonderful parks ❤ Love a Voodoo Donut 🍩 too 😋!! Lost power for a day and a half after Ian. It was two days of hurricane remember. The issue is the power crews can’t go in until the storm actually ends. Just a safety thing. The thing is fortunately little damage other than downed branches over my area and downed trees but a single power transformer blew taking out power for a few blocks. Meh just tried to do something in that time but you get bored you know.

There are 6 drivers for Kong. It is a far better ride than F&F. Don't know if you are aware that Universal has added new boats to Jurrasic Park that make a bigger splash, the new boats are usually number 30+. Great way to go between parks by using the Harry Potter express. Jim a pink box for Hurricane supplies is a fantastic suggestion, absolutely inspired. Great video as always

Hi Barbara and hope you are well too. The food court was open throughout at the hotel. We only visited it once over the two days and brought pizza for the first night and enough to eat cold the following day plus a ceasar salad and some fresh fruit to go with the snacks we picked up at Walmart. We felt very safe and well looked after ❤️
