M.2 is not a different drive than an SSD. It's an interface. There are M.2 network and BT cards for example.

@@Adjustmentt well aaackutally, there are regular M.2 SSD drives and then there are M.2 SSD drives that are ALSO NVMe, simply called NVMe drives. One uses SATA on M.2, the other uses PCIe on M.2. Quite different things, and plenty of M.2 slots out there DO NOT support NVMe drives and instead only support simple M.2 SSDs so knowing the difference is important.

you can actually swap the M.2 drive with the games still on it. works perfectly fine. i would make sure that you login in on the ps5 pro first just to be safe, but when doing this, the next time you turn the console on it will boot up with the “Rebuilding Database” loading screen, which should inly take a minute or two, and then all you games should be there and ready to go. just download all your save data and you’re golden.

Ya no, my buddy got a pro one and I brought my two 4k 60hrz Asus monitors from my PC to his place with my PS5 and there was miniscule, barely noticeable difference in a side by side comparison. We ran multiple PS5 games in different modes. It is not worth it period.

Close to 1000 for a PlayStation that does 4k 60fps (which is what base ps5 was advertised as) or upscaled at 120fps. You could build a fully upgradable pc for the same money and get a better version of the games with more display options etc on the pc. Also using some pre-owned parts it would be possible to get much better and at least future proof pc, as god knows what price point the ps6 will come in at in a few years' time.

@@dsidebotham plus I'm not really a fan of the design of the PlayStation 5 or the PlayStation 5 Pro personally I just don't like the flashy look cuz it just looks like something that could break if you drop it. I pretty much like the PS4 because it's pretty much simple and the console was very durable if you dropped it especially its pro version and it pretty much look like its predecessor the PS2 in my opinion the PS4 is the direct successor of the PS2, but when I look at the PS5 it just reminds me too much of the PS3. And I personally didn't like the design of the PS3 either.

Loving mine! Playing the crew motorfest on it and wow. Night and dsybdofference from the base ps5 and series x. No comparison! Everything is sooo smooth and temporal stable and crisp. It truly is a gsme changer with PSSR this is one of those games that clearly is a big win over series x and base ps5. I own the gsme on all platforms. It looks way mkre setsuled thsn series x running in the resolution mode at 30 fps. This thing runs 60 fps with greater detail than 30 fps on series x and base ps5. That pssr is like magic!

The trick with the PS5 plates is to pull the plate away at the PS logo with quite a bit of effort. Then slide the plate in the upwards direction of the console. It actually comes off pretty easy once you figure out how much force to apply when pulling outwards from the PS logo. Other youtubers have confirmed the PS5 Revision / Slim plate's top half do not work on the pro. The top half is slightly larger for the Pro from the slim. But the bottom half is the same and can be swapped between the 2.

Unless you have a lot of disposable income, then I don't see the point of getting a PS5 Pro when you have an original PS5. Even if you did have that much disposable income, you'd probably be better served just saving some money and getting a top-of-the-line computer instead and just stick with the original PS5. Maybe if you didn't have a PS5 then it might be worthwhile to get the PS5 Pro and you have a little bit of extra disposable income to afford the extra cost, it would be worth it for some.

They were not nice enough to include a new faceplate - it's required to cover the optical drive aa the old faceplate won't work and that drive is not exactly cheap, so they are essentially charging you for that new faceplate, and then some.

@@Macktube sadly you're right but it's not just xbox. All the gaming industry is going down the crapper thanks to all that woke and DEI nonsense. Sony being ultra woke is a disappointment this gen, not many games and the quality is very low. The ps5 pro is barely an upgrade and for the price it's just for the enthusiast or content creators. I'll keep my ps5 fat and series x.

Sony should just launch their own PC launcher so they can push out their games to PC and not split the money. I'd love to get the exclusives quickly and not have to own the ps5. I'm not getting a pro for just FF7 rebirth.
