I would say that the biblical instruction to treat others the way you wish to be treated is the way to go. You don't have to take to every person you meet but genuine kindness and respect for others will resonate and you will generally find people who "click" with you along the way. But Unfortunately these days you also have to be on the alert for scammers and users

'I grew up in Philadelphia, but I never really fit in there. Like a lot of people in that area wind up spending their whole life within 20 minutes where they were born. And so I travelled throughout my twenties and visited a bunch of places, but I now live in LA just because its the right place for my business' I would not like to continue or even engage a conversation with such a narcistic person. 🙄 That might work on young persons in their twenties who don't have a real sense of charisma.

Congrats! How did you foster the development of this personality?

He was born this way. I do teach him skills like standing up for himself, not allowing anyone to undermine his intelligence or cross his boundaries. I also teach him everything I know as an adult, that I've learned the hard way, like how to approach and understand situations and people and avoid irreversible mistakes. However, he is very mature for his age. I care more for his rep than he does 😊 He also has T1D, which gives him enough to actually care about, as it's a tough condition to live with. I learn a lot from him too.

I naturally think about questions and answers in the way of the "where are you from" example he uses. But I find some pple actually are annoyed by it. Yes even though its not that much more some ppl just want a short answer. And I would omit the part about i didnt fit in cause pple there never move away etc -which sounds like an insult... for all you know the person youre talking to is ONE of those "townie" people.
