Nicotine, 6. Marijuana (all drugs), 7. Loneliness, 8. Having low levels of omega-3 (He says fish-oil but I strongly and passionately suggest vegan DHA from algae as most fish-oil is full of contaminants and oxidation), 9. Unprocessed trauma, 17. Untreated psychiatric stuff (he does not mean to treat it only with medicine. There are natural ways too), 18. Media time and screen time (shrinks our brain, leads to depression, anxiety, ADHD, obesity, addiction, low self-image issues, mental health problems, even suicide) 19. I do intermittent fasting (16:8 minimum) which makes a huge difference to how I feel. It greatly reduces my aches, pains and brain fog but when I add a cup of black coffee with cinnamon I feel these effects so much more. It also enables me to control my appetite just enough. Plus as the mother of a 3 year old who often wakes me up at night, broken sleep often gives me a headache which always starts slowing and grows throughout the day. That one cup of coffee kills my headache dead, so much more efficiently that any painkillers. I’m also addicted to my mobile phone, particularly shopping (or at least browsing) and REALLY need to tackle that because it makes me feel awful.

Glad that I'm taking care of my health atleast as for craving for sweetness I have fruits which helps alot. He mentioned supplements but for me whenever someone says that feels like it won't be a good idea at all, I would rather have things that are purely natural. Any form of addiction that affects your health is not good whether it's coffee or too much social media consumption and the most harmful are the shorts because it is leading people towards having short attention span.

Everything seems partial here. For example, he recommands Omega 3 supplementation... Ok, but without talking about omega 6 reduction. Lowering Omega 6 is important when taking Omega 3, because they share the same enzyme to be used by your body. If you are high on Omega 6, you won't get any benefit from Omega 3 supplementation. The simplest way to get the effects of Omega 3 is to cook low processed foods and use a neutral fat source to cook such olive oil (which is mostly Omega 9 and doesn't change the O3-O6 ratio).

Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice is one of the healthiest foods (in season, local, organic). It doesn't require stomach acid. Watermelon is probably the healthiest breakfast as it has the fiber and also doesn't trigger stomach acid (the enzymes reach the lower digestive tract). I soak organic lemons and limes in water and only drink the yellowy resulting tea. I only use raw sugar (1-2 tsp per day in my coffee). Homemade hot sauce is super healthy and easy to make.

@viviennedunbar3374 Жыл бұрын
Eating half of the grapefruit each morning and not bothering to squeeze half a dozen into a glass is much healthier though as the body really needs the fiber and vitamins in the whole fruit.

What a wonderful life to live, maybe reach 100+ and be bored to death, my ancestors on my mothers side all live to 90+, on my fathers side they die at 70. The ones on my mothers side drink alcohol, eat sweets and cakes, drink a lot of coffee, not so on my fathers side. No diabetic on either side, my mother and father have been working at screens for the last 30 years. they are 78&79 y.o now. I would say they still drink 3 large mugs of coffee every day. They both still have very high cognitive abilities and are still productive.

Andrew Huberman ought to debate this guy about caffeine. Just like anything, too much is bad for you but up to 250mg isn’t bad at all.

Too much sugar damages the brain in a similar way to aging. Must we stop both aging and sugar consumption Even though many researchers are studying this topic, there is still a disconnect between what we know and what we do. This is evident in the fact that 70% of people are overweight and 42% are obese, despite knowing that sugar is bad for them. Andrew Huberman is the first person I've seen to address this gap. He emphasizes the importance of baseline dopamine for goal achievement.
