These abstract live plays are great! Hope we see more some time!

So just before the abstract battle, Tom spreads his germs during the marathon. That's some serious gamesmanship. Well done.

The last game's - Katarenga - author is David Parlett. He was the winner of the very first Spiel des Jahres.

That solemn “you’re a goofy goober yeah..” at 13:09 was so sad 😂😂

Sad these aren't available in the states. I'd really like to have Quatro Flash, Triagoli and Katarenga. I love the quality of the boards too.

Really enjoyed watching this live play! Quatro Flash And Urbino seemed to be the weaker games. Btw It costs 50 euros to ship Triangoli to the states.

Which would you choose: Katarenga or Kamisado?

The winning move in Quatro Flash was available just 2 turns earlier.

For Triangoli, is moving the king piece to the corners a valid move? (a.k.a. Zee's fatal mistake) My understanding is that it wouldn't be an "intersection" since that spot only touches one small triangle, but then again I also only know the rules from this playthrough..

Seems like the basic win is set up three ways to win, which Zee could have done once he he could make the three green diagonal and the three orange stack at around 12 minutes maybe earlier. I am guessing he didnt see it because the green was at the bottom of a stack. He may also have felt it was not a way to win since in some games covered is out of play. Neat game!

I watched this when you posted it. And I know you don't usually respond to comments. But, PLEASE, tell us where to get these!

Quatro Flash can be played colorblind, just swap red or green for white
@Vampa2196 жыл бұрын
poor Zee being sick, The winning move could have easily have been done at 17:02, though in fairness, it's probably easier to see the stack height from our view than his.
@oonwc6 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t Zee have won at 9:22 by placing his yellow at height 4 on top of his two greens on the left? Ga3 Ya3 using chess coordinates. Is there a rule that says you can’t put both pieces on the same spot?
@arcplayer6 жыл бұрын
At 2:37 Tom said the two pieces cant be placed together.

Move Straight Line 1 2 or 3 steps

You were perhaps thinking he could make a move that involved not going in a straight line?

So you cannot go back the way you came in the previous turn? Or what exactly is the problem?
@asdfjoe1236 жыл бұрын
Look at the board. Where could he have legally landed while moving 1, 2, or 3 steps?
@TheFilipFonky6 жыл бұрын
Ahhh I see, he's completely stuck because the only 3 available spots are all blocked! Thank you for guiding me through this.
@Hieronymus-Pseudonymous6 жыл бұрын
20:06 You can't actually win by stacking 4 pieces on each other, can you? Tom didn't say you could, and neither did Zee in his review.
