The core system reminds me of the RPG everyone is John, where everyone controls a single character, John. You have 10 dice to bid to control him and when you spend all 10 dice you can't control him any more.

I love Isla Dorada, it's a ton of fun, and I mean laugh out loud funny. It's actually a Fun Forge production, in cooperation with FFG. The game has some of the best components ever, I was very impressed with the value for the 40 Euro I paid for the game at SPIEL. Even the game board comes packed inside a zip lock bag. Awesome!

I play this game with my youth group because it is simple to teach and enjoyable to players who aren't used to strategy style games.
