Tom! You missed the Eternal Council's Enigma Sage! A 2 cost, 4hp, 3 ranged unit with the ability to bottom-deck a card after attacking to damage an adjacent unit isn't that weak! Also, their endgame is stronger than you guys think because they can stack the bottom of their deck (with Katu! wooo!) and make sure they have the tools to fight in later stages. Also, pro tip for Monstrosity; jam a Beast behind Kuldak and never use it - just boost it and let it take wounds; that way you can reliably get Monstrosity out in 2 turns or less! Oh, and save a Stimshrooms to rush him up into the enemy Summoner's face! (p.s. Monstrosity was a pain to balance in playtesting, costing him was tough!)

Over here in Australia we’re still waiting on the first two expansions. At this rate, I don’t think we’ll be seeing these next two decks till Christmas or 2023. I still watched this review though. I’m always keen to hear Tom’s thoughts on Summoner Wars. Thanks guys.

I have both. They are both different but I'm sorry unmatched is "unmatched" lol The minis are beautiful, thr artwork is amazing, the boards are beautiful production on 10. Don't get me wrong summoner wars is awesome but try crystal clans its basically summoner wars on crack.. FYI the insert in summoner wars is horrendous.

I did not think about rating each pack interesting.. I just put it under the summoner wars banner and give them a 10 :D. I would side with the dwarves as I had more fun with them and the council seems hard for me after a few plays >

The Grannies are definitely more appealing to me, but both look great. The name Fungal Dwarves reminds me of the Gully Dwarves from DnD. Yuck.

I really love all new ideas and various ways that 2nd edition cleaned up the game from 1st edition. I have to continue to confess, though, I don't like the new art style of the card illustrations much at all. The graphic design is nice but the character art on most of the cards...there's just something really off-putting about it for me. It's a real shame, in my book. A fantastic game with just one minor blemish.
