Had to pick up that Rush MD game after the ladies had a crossover with it. I normally don’t like real-time games but this looked so thematic with a subject I enjoy and had really cool components. A while ago I was weighing between Kitchen Rush and Rival Restaurants for a food/cooking theme. I’m glad I went for Rival Restaurants because now I’m getting Rush MD which seems like a better version of Kitchen Rush. Hope that was clear. Thanks for recommendation!

The means of mitigation in Hostage Negotiator are also luck based. Getting the more powerful cards requires either sacrificing your entire deck to get conversation points, or doing good rolls with the basic cards to get them. And even when you do, you use the powerful card, but you may fail it alltogether with a bad roll, rendering all your tactical effort to get the card completely useless and luck-based. Not only that, but also you need to deal with the luck of the draw in the terror deck which has a few cards that can destroy the game completely. Out of the 6 games I played, I won only once and it was purely because I had a luck roll in the final event, yeah there was some satisfaction in that but it was more frustrating than satisfactory most of the time. Also, one of the games lasted only like 3 or 4 minutes because of a combination of terrible rolls and nasty terror cards.

want to like betrayal at house on the hill, but i have no luck at the game. Played it about 12 times and have once had a fun ending. 2x betrayer came out first time around with bad role, and most times once betrayer came it is pretty much auto ended as the betrayer already had win condition or lose condition done or pretty much done. Once a certain person had to get on a certain tile and happened to already be on it for example.
