I simply love the base game. We're still fine tuning the difficulty, indeed there's so much that can be done to adjust how challenging the game is. Setting up time has increased a good bit, which is not ideal, but it's such a great table presence! I would love the Dice Tower team playing this expansion ❤️

We've played with this expansion a few times. Haven't played with the monsters yet, but really enjoying the councilors, the allies, and the new gate components. #1 complaint is the instructions - there are a number of ambiguities and the flow is confusing. We're still getting used to the added complexity of the new things we're playing with - once that's settled down, we'll venture into the monsters.

Thanks for the review. I can feel your enthusiasm for the game. I was put off of this game due to the crowdfunding experience taking far longer and costing more than planned. I'm inspired to get this back to the table now! Gods be damned!
