This vid is beyond informative about applying for disability. It's very precise and clear. Thank you so much. I was making an excellent living as a model and loved it so much. Then last year in February, I was getting ready to go on another modeling assignment in Italy, but I suffered a mini-stroke that resulted in numbness in my right arm & right leg, along with other impairments I suffered from. My doctor documented the impairments and she made another appointment to see her again in 3 days. To make a long story short, I then got a letter from Social Security Administration stating, "Due to the impairments documented by your doctor, you have been approved from SSI benefits. To complete your application, come into our office to complete non-medical information (which refers to income from other sources) and the name of my bank to send the payments via direct deposit. I now get SSI every month (although I miss modeling so much). Again, thank you so much for this awesome info. YOU ROCK!

@@TheDisabilityDigest So I have 15 years of work experience as an Accountant. I recently filed for SSDI back on 09/21. I am HIV positive and I suffer from diabetic neuropathy. My disability is I have pain in both of my feet legs knees right-hand arm and shoulder. my right hand and fingers constantly shake. I have to urinate at least 5 times in 8hr period. Some of the meds I take I'm not sure which ones cause me to have diarrhea, dizziness acid reflux, and dry mouth. I am 63 years old what are the chances of my SSDI getting approved?

Hey! Fantastic channel and super informative so thank you 🙏, I’m 37 and have had 3 open heart surgeries to replace 2 valves each time, due to endocarditis, after the second I was able to work physically and was back to normal after a time. The 3rd time came with a Stroke, which lost feeling completely on my right side, leg and arm. It took hard work and months of physical therapy in the hospital in order to gain some control and walk with a walker. I have since done cardiac rehab and further improved my ability to walk and use my arm normally. I seem to have hit a wall and can’t run or walk fast at all. I have asthma and I’m still extremely limited in what I can do physically. It’s been over a year since my stroke, and I get fatigued very easily I’m in no way able to work. I hoped but it’s just not gonna happen. In addition to this I’m on LASIKs to remove excess fluid buildup in my legs and lungs.. which is constant. I have a pace maker and am on blood thinners Aspirin and warfarin, so I must have my INR monitored 10-14 days. I need income and cannot work and don’t see it possible anytime soon if at all. I have been out of work since before Covid and on unemployment for a year after that. Then my stroke happened September of last year. So I’ve been unable to work since then. I have many medications and hospital time and tests done, but some sense of normalcy has come to be with just the INR every 2 weeks and I get my meds from them. Will I have any issue with SSDI? I’m applying now and hope everything gets approved and goes well. Curious your opinion. Thanks!!

Thanks this process is overwhelming for me because of the massive amount issues and tests and hospital and doctor visits, over the last year. It’s very foreign to me… this process and I would really appreciate your feedback, I have a history of drug use which is in my medical records and wanted to make sure that’s not an issue. Been clean over a year now. Thanks a lot for your feedback

Brian, thank You much. If I have different types of arthritis. should I mention each individually (separate conditions) or one word "arthritis" is enough?
@TheDisabilityDigest
@TheDisabilityDigest 5 ай бұрын
You're welcome! When applying for Social Security Disability benefits, it's important to be as detailed as possible about your medical conditions. If you have different types of arthritis, you should mention each one individually. Each type of arthritis can have different symptoms and impacts on your ability to work, so it's important to provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) with a complete picture of your health. Be sure to include information about how each type of arthritis affects your daily activities and ability to work. For more information on how to apply for disability benefits with arthritis, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2OWgJ18hsqDa9U.

With medical records do I contact my doctor and have him submit them. Or do I obtain them and take them to SS? Also do I need an attorney from the outset or only later if I'm denied? Thank you. Great video.

So very informative. I wish I had come across these videos, specifically Disability Digest subscription, prior to submitting my SS Disability application online. My application shows 85% complete and I just received an appointment for a Dept of Social Services medical evaluation this March 2022. My question is this: is there a way to review the original online application once it has been submitted? At the time, I thought I was answering thoroughly but now question some of my answers. Thank you.

What does that entail? If i already completed and submitted the application, does this still apply to me? The only thing to sign was the thing at the end about the medical release form.. please help i am confused.

My fiancé has been on state disability benefits for 9 years. His case has been labeled as short term disability even though he has been unable to work for 9 years. He needs to get on long term disability. I’m not sure how to go about this. He originally applied for LTD years ago but was denied because he was 46 yo. I’m guessing he needs to reapply now that he is 53 yo. Any help would be appreciated!
