Even though it supposedly took a longer time to get an in-person hearing...it's ALL long. lol I am happy that I chose in person for multiple reasons. 1. It was the only time I met my then lawyer handling my case in person, whom I had only got to speak with directly the week prior briefly, and the interaction with him was pretty essential and valuable...I don't have that lawyer's office any longer, but I think he did a fantastic job at the hearing for having only recently met me. 2. I really learned how inhumane this system is when the judge can see a person in the flesh right in front of them, broke down crying and can say I haven't eaten and still see the manipulative things that were written in my decision letter. Sounds bad. lol But it actually gave me some peace at the end of the day because it filled me in on the full current reality of this system. They are not out to be "fair" or caring about the individuals they serve and so I won't expect that any longer from them nor get frustrated at them. They do what THEY have to do and I will do what I have to do. 3. I wouldn't want to risk technical issues on the part of any parties. Waiting on SSA to schedule things is one of the most annoying parts of my life currently. The less I have to wait the better. All that being said, now that my case has been remanded and I MOVED my case to a different office would I want to do in-person again? Probably. lol It's been 3 and a half years. Time doesn't matter to me at this point. But I think I already signed approving a video something recently.

The non-medical review typically involves verifying your income, resources, and living arrangements to ensure you still meet the non-medical requirements for disability benefits. If you've received a notice for another hearing, it could be for a variety of reasons. It's best to contact your local Social Security office or your representative for clarification. Is renal failure considered a permanent disability even after transplant?
@TheDisabilityDigest
@TheDisabilityDigest Күн бұрын
Yes, renal failure, also known as end-stage renal disease (ESRD), is considered a severe medical condition by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and can qualify you for disability benefits. However, after a kidney transplant, the SSA will evaluate your condition. If you're still experiencing severe symptoms or complications that prevent you from working, you may continue to qualify for benefits. Have them all well-documented! This video might help you: kzbin.infoiwQNCBdkgik.

So I just gave up. My ex never reported this income and I fill a wavier never heard from them again.

According to SSA's rules, it can be easier for people over the age of 50 to get approved for disability benefits. This is because the SSA recognizes that older individuals may have a harder time learning new skills or transitioning to different types of work. However, being over 50 doesn't guarantee approval. The SSA still requires proof that your condition prevents you from doing any gainful activity, not just your previous work. For more information on how age affects Social Security Disability claims, you can watch this video: kzbin.infoUInmtXb9GbY.

I was receiving $930 now they have cut my benefits down to $730 a month I have a husband and 6 dogs to pay for ! My car payment takes $366 alone ! My car insurance takes $230 then utilities and I to pay for my own food!! No food stamps! They did a review made go to the psychologist i got a letter stating that I am still going to receive my benefits after this test . I have asked 6 times for a full copy of my mental status exam report the first time I was told that I couldn’t get it the second time I was told that I could request it in writing so I did the third time I was told I had to fill some form out so I asked for them to send me the form and they never did then the fourth time I was told that I might have to pay to get a copy of the fifth time I was told it would be very expensive over $200 for me to get a copy and the sixth time I got no reply whatsoever. Aren’t I entitled to anything in my file especially my medical and mental evaluations? My husband isn’t working due to several health problems and he’s had a doctors appointment for months on the calendar in august is the soonest they could schedule him . And my bills have gone up I don’t understand how bills and cost of living can go up and my benefits decrease. Needless to say I need some help , advice , answers , anything please I even told them that reducing my benefits will render me homeless and I would lose my vehicle ( the only one I don’t own and the only one that runs) and I would lose the most important things to me in the entire world my dogs. I even told them if I lose my dogs there is no reason for me to live and they don’t care. Social security is supposed to be a source to turn to when you become disabled or retire but they put you through literal hell and dig into every aspect of your life. I was stabbed , assaulted , kidnapped and jumped out of a car going over 60 mph and I sustained serious injuries requiring a specialist not to mention over 27 staples in my head but now I don’t even leave my house at all I have zero friends that’s no exaggeration I mean none so who the heck are they to tell me if I’m disabled or not? I hate the whole process and what makes it bad is the lack of compassion and understanding you receive when talking to any of them it’s like talking to a machine

Can you make $970 after trial work period ends on ssdi
@TheDisabilityDigest
@TheDisabilityDigest 2 күн бұрын
After your Trial Work Period (TWP) ends, you enter what's known as the Extended Period of Eligibility (EPE). During the EPE, you can still receive full SSDI benefits for any month your earnings are not considered "Substantial Gainful Activity" (SGA). For 2024, the SGA limit is $1,310 for non-blind individuals and $2,190 for blind individuals. However, if you consistently have earnings above the SGA level, the Social Security Administration (SSA) may determine that you're no longer disabled. It's important to report all work and earnings to the SSA to avoid overpayments. For more information on how work affects your Social Security Disability benefits after the Trial Work Period, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6C9XoBnnqqirNE.

If you have different types of arthritis, you should mention each one individually. Each type of arthritis can have different symptoms and impacts on your ability to work, so it's important to provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) with a complete picture of your health. Be sure to include information about how each type of arthritis affects your daily activities and ability to work. @TheDisabilityDigest 5 күн бұрын
I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges your son is facing. It sounds like you're dealing with a lot right now. When it comes to the Social Security Disability evaluation process, it's crucial to provide comprehensive medical evidence that clearly demonstrates how his conditions limit his ability to work. This includes medical records, doctors' notes, and possibly statements from people who know him and can attest to his struggles. In your son's case, it might be helpful to accompany him to his appointments and provide additional information about his condition and daily struggles. You could also consider seeking the help of a disability advocate or representative who can guide you through the process and ensure that all necessary information is presented effectively. For more information on how to prepare for a disability exam, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYWqdYKlqLqtd8k. Hope this helps!

I understand your concern about receiving the full SSI benefit amount. The amount of SSI benefits you receive can be affected by various factors, including your living situation and any income you may have. If you believe there has been a mistake in the calculation of your benefits, you can request a reconsideration from the Social Security Administration (SSA). This is a complete review of your claim by someone who did not take part in the first decision. To request a reconsideration, you can call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visit your local Social Security office. You can also find more information on the SSA's website: www.ssa.gov/benefits/disability/appeal.html For more information on how to maximize or stretch your SSI benefits or checks, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKiannujj9CkjM0.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It's important to understand that when you reach your full retirement age, your Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits automatically convert to retirement benefits, but the amount remains the same. This is a standard procedure by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and doesn't mean that they're denying your disability. However, if you believe there has been a mistake or if you have concerns about your benefits, it's a good idea to contact the SSA directly or speak with a disability advocate or representative. As for your Alzheimer's and Dementia diagnosis, these conditions may qualify you for additional assistance or benefits. @TheDisabilityDigest
@TheDisabilityDigest 5 күн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges faced by the individual who had a stroke. It's important to know that the Social Security Administration (SSA) does consider stroke (cerebrovascular accident) as a condition that can potentially qualify for disability benefits. The SSA will evaluate the person's condition based on their medical evidence, the severity of their symptoms, and the extent to which the stroke affects their ability to work. This includes difficulties with walking, speaking, and cognitive functions. To apply for Social Security Disability benefits, the person or their representative will need to provide comprehensive medical documentation demonstrating the impact of the stroke on their daily activities and ability to work. For more information on how to apply for disability benefits after a stroke, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYWqdYKlqLqtd8k.

Thank you for your service and I'm sorry to hear about the health challenges you're facing. It's commendable that you're seeking to maximize your benefits and continue serving your country in any way you can. If you have medical documentation linking your chronic illnesses to the Camp Lejeune water contamination, this could potentially be significant in your case. It's important to share this information with your attorney, as it could impact your eligibility for certain benefits. The VA offers health benefits to veterans who were stationed at Camp Lejeune for at least 30 days between August 1, 1953 and December 31, 1987, and who have been diagnosed with certain conditions believed to be linked to the contaminated water at the base. @TheDisabilityDigest 7 күн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear about the health challenges you're facing, and I appreciate your service to our country. As a veteran, you may be eligible for both Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and VA benefits. However, the eligibility criteria for each program are different, and it's possible to qualify for one and not the other. If you're already receiving SSDI and are on the liver transplant list, you might be eligible for additional benefits. The Social Security Administration considers end-stage liver disease to be a qualifying condition for disability benefits. Regarding your service at Camp Lejeune, if you were there during the water contamination period, you might be eligible for VA benefits related to the health issues caused by the contamination. For more information specifically tailored to veterans, you can check out this playlist of videos from other veterans: kzbin.info/aero/PLC3WPSpHtJf5Po7BSq89Afnf_TJhCM_fy.
