Totally agree. If they had gone old school it would have been fantastic. I would have LOVED a new version of the original Saddle Up. I would have probably have purchased that in several patterns.

What were they thinking? I will absolutely never buy another VB piece. I looked at the new website and I hate every single thing. The prints are ugly, I hate the styles and for the money I would rather have a Dooney. Whoever came up with this idea and signed off on it, should honestly be replaced.

It’s so sad that Vera Bradley took down (or hid) the Pattern Archive. If it didn’t fit their new aesthetic/look/vibe then they could have moved it to the Brand History section of the new website. Makes no sense at all to erase that history. The lack of any crossbody bags with a wide enough and long enough strap (55”-56”) is so disrespectful to those of us who can’t wear the short strap lengths. The new bags are also so small.

I totally agree! The pattern archive was my favorite feature of the website! And we were making such good progress with a lot of the classic styles beginning to come with strap extenders…but not anymore. Hopefully this will change in the near future as they release more styles!🤞

On a somewhat similar note, Lilly Pulitzer has STILL maintained their entire catalog of patterns from the very beginning, straight to last Tuesday. Yes we still have issues with quality at times, but at the very least the core of the brand still remains. Vera Bradley needs to toss their directors. The millennial grey/beige is over. Everyone’s shooting at cute, quaint, unique pieces. I loved how they included Disney into more “adult” life. I love having my 5 year old shriek in excitement when she notices that there’s someone she knows on my bags. They’ve lost the entire ESSENCE of the brand.

As someone who hasn't really bought any Vera Bradley stuff, I don't like when brands that don't align with my personal style completely gut and completely reinvent themselves to cater to my tastes. Even as someone who isn't super familiar with Vera Bradley lore, the new Vera Bradley branding feels very soulless to me and the slogan feels hollow and patronizing.

I think you two held back on sharing your true opinions. Thank you for this video! I am so glad you two went to the parks and the VB Disney store and checked everything out as best as you could for all of us. I am very mad, and sad. The new CEO who took over has ruined decade of connections, traditions, fun, etc., etc. revolving around the "original, true vibe and spirit" of Vera Bradley. Even their new logo is so neutral and blah. I don't even like that. And that green is awful!!! Just about every piece, minus a couple only, have that ugly green, or some sort of ugly brown in the pattern. No thank you. If you are going to go with a neutral theme, then make the "store color" cream, or almond, or something more pleasing to more people then puke green. I won't buy anything if it has that color. I don't even like the look of the new website because that is all you see, and their new boring font. All the styles have been revamped, or are completely gone, except for the mini, and small backpack, as far as I can tell. Thankfully, I do use the small backpack often. So if they ever get a bright, cheerful patter, and nice sale, I may get one. All the "purse" styles, which they often refer to as totes, just don't meet my needs. I prefer a strap drop of about 12 inches for a tote, or shoulder bag, so those are out. For a purse, I usually buy one that can be shoulder, and also crossbody, and it has to have a zipper closure. Also, most of the purses are either way to small, or way to large. I hate those thin, rope style straps they call crossbody straps, or even used as shoulder straps. Those dig in, and don't stay put. Why can't we have the nice one inch padded straps. So, no, there are no bags I will use, except the backpacks. I do like the Tab wallet. I was about to order the Tab wallet. I saw the large Tab wallet in this beautiful solid black fabric, with beautiful flowers inside. But, I want the regular Tab wallet, because it is smaller. Do you know, if you want black, your only option is leather. And if you look closely at the leather, they use a PU material to put around the edges of the colored leathers, they are not truly all leather pieces. Which brings me to another issue. Who at VB made the decision to produce a bunch of patterns, but only allow a few products in each pattern? For instance there small backpacks that you can't just chose to get in the mini, because they decided to make the mini backpacks in other patterns (of the same fabrication). The same thing is true of the Tab wallet sizes. I am sure it is true of other items as well. Which brings me to another issue. I can't be the only one who find the new site hard to navigate. It is ridiculous. So yeah, I understand about money, and needing to do something to stay in business, but this was not the answer. Plus they hiked up the prices, and make the birthday coupons go from 25% off your order, to 25 dollars off when you spend 100 dollars, or I think 10 dollars off if you spend 50, something like that. I loved your gal's ideas at the end of ways VB could have rebranded by bringing back older patterns, and making jackets. They could have cut out some of the purses and/or bags that didn't sell well, and brought in some of their new styles, and maybe launched a new pattern with their new ugly green and brown ones. But to completely take all of everything away in one day is a great way to make the majority of your loyal customers mad as heck. That is how I honestly feel. Now, I am sure the fabrics, are good quality, blah, blah, blah....., but I still feel betrayed and mad.

I have mixed feelings on this…personally I haven’t loved a lot of the more recent patterns and I kinda get the fact that they have lost a lot of relevance. I 100% agree that if they wanted to regain relevance they should have gone the vintage/old pattern route not this rebrand. I think hope said it best with that this rebrand was basically saying they don’t care about their generational fans. I do really like the Marrakesh patchwork style but I also think that if people wanted this style there’s so many other brands that have similar styles.
