If you use the glue with out water y crackles better. When putting the second color ( or top color) you can’t go over the same place twice. The more paint on your brush for the second color the bigger the crack. Love those sconces 🥰

that crackle idea is over 50 years old I've been doing it for years not my idea originally though

Its not the glue and water that makes it crackle, its the heating tool that makes it crackle with the glue. Thats why it didn't do it at first before you used your dryer.
