Thanks for all the love on this project! (I apologize for the audio mistake around 3:00 that I didn't catch in editing! 😭 In that part, I was explaining that you can attach the cabinets to wall studs.) FAQ: How wide is your hallway? 42" Why don't you put storage under your stairs? Our basement stairs are there. Why don't you keep your shoes in your rooms? Where I live, we take our shoes off at the door because they get incredibly snowy and/or dirty. Where are your overalls from? Rosie's Workwear

Girl, you did great! I just found your channel, but how did you do all this? Did you learn it, like were you taught or is it just natural talent?? Honestly, I want to know. I like this kind of stuff, but I don't know how to do it, don't know how to use tools, or what kind of tools are required, etc. I'm a single gal, no plans on marrying so I have to do it on mu own.
@xglsc64654 жыл бұрын
I have to ask, and I mean no insult ... um... why are all those adult shoes there? Why aren't the shoes in the individual bedrooms where you get dressed? When you come home from work and change, do you carry your shoes down and store them there? When the kids get home from school same question? Great place for hats gloves mittens scarves folding umbrellas so the bins are a great idea, AND your board and batten looks beautiful, job done very well.
@ilovenoodles74834 жыл бұрын
@@xglsc6465 I think it's just because maybe you don't wear shoes in the house and then on the way out of the door you put your shoes on.

Girl, That was a hell of a transformation! The idea alone was so outside of the box. It is chic, cute, organized and looks really efficient. You did a lot of sweat equity just in that small space and I absolutely love it! That is no longer a messy space in your home but one that you can now be proud of that goes with the rest of your home. Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

For the adult shoes, I sometimes face the left and right shoe in opposite directions...if that makes sense. It amazingly creates more room and you can fit more together.

My daughter taught me this trick. One shoe facing you and the other facing the opposite direction. Works brilliantly. Also to line the cupboard with nonslip so it doesn't scratch the cupboard surface and the shoes stay put!

Hi Christina, I'm a new subbie from Australia. I LOVE this DIY. I'm slowly binge watching all your videos now. I love your aesthetics and I love ESPECIALLY how you finish your diy projects. It elevates your work so much and makes it look less diy. Filler and caulking is also my best friend. That is one extremely well-done job! From an Edmontonian great-grandma, kudos for solving your storage issue in such an imaginative way. Our house had a coat closet 15 feet from the front door halfway to the garage entrance, so we hired someone who cut out an opening and built a closet into the sidewall of the house, into the garage, which helped because the standing coat rack kept falling over and no space for shoes. 😉 Now our son uses that closet, I use the one halfway round the house, and my husband uses the one by the garage door. Ours is a four-bedroom two story house but no entry hall, opens straight into the living room, which design I think is absolutely crazy in Canada with our climate. English houses are mostly built with entries or halls which can be closed off to keep out the drafts. Ignore the critics. You did good! 😊👍
