Scotty! today I found that the product Modge Podge makes a great/cheaper alternative to water based gloss as well making a pretty cool texture, it also washes out in warm water so it is pretty awesome. keep up the great work man.

Waterbase Polyacrylic washes out with soap and water also but it does have a issue with fumes. Modge podge is a great alternative as long as you are using the gloss type as the whole point is to give a wet look.

Instead of a T Square you could use a Roofing Square. They run around a couple of bucks(at budget tool stores), you can use the square to also do angles so you have a second option for them. Just a suggestion.

When you were talking about using the short glue sticks and trying to get the new one caught in the gun, I use to fight with this all the time, but then My boss showed me a neat little trick. Just as the current glue stick is ending, put a tiny little bad of glue on the new one and and glue them together. Just dont use too much glue or it could mess up the gun. Sometimes ill just heat up the tip of the new stick and press it on instead of adding glue to it.

great tip!

In regards to hot glue guns, it's important to make sure you don't get glue sticks not specific to the type of gun you have. There is a size (and temperature as stated below) for each type of glue gun. Using low temp sticks in a regular glue gun will make more of a mess as the glue will leak out more :)

Very welcome, I hope this was a help.

The glue guns I use are not dual temp. So I guess they are a mid temperature. I also don't buy the hot or low temp guns. Hope that helped.

I have that type of compass. It is a pain in the rear because it refuses to maintain the circle you put it at.

I'm not familiar with the "Goop" adhesive. Do you think it would work for assembling multi piece metal miniatures?
@theDMsCraft10 жыл бұрын
It works really well on metal. I use it on my own.

Eeek, you told me lots about glue guns, but not what I needed to know: They seem to be sold as "glue guns" and "low temperature glue guns". The former seem to be mostly used for DIY, the latter are favoured by people who make greetings cards and who work with fabrics. Which kind are you using Scotty?
@MrDaragh9912 жыл бұрын
regards the glue guns, could you just glue one glue stick to the end of the otherwhen reloading?
@theDMsCraft12 жыл бұрын
that might work> i have never tried that.
