@wownouser She's Australian and Australians are no different to anybody else. They are just as hateful. That's why us bird feeders feed birds - for pleasant company. Like I just had 6 magpies come up to my door in a group. It's truly beautiful. They are sweet like babies. When they first started coming, they would send a baby to the door to squark over and over as baby birds do. I would open the door to see the baby magpie there and then I would see the adults standing a couple of meters away, looking sheepish. Little scammers. I love them; puts a smile on my face - something humans are no longer able to do.

Birds like pigeons and chickens can't walk straight up and must do the funny head thing. I befriended a jumping spider back in college, 80's. During lunch, I ate outside, and this spider came out from under the picnic table and jumped on my hand. I lowered him down to the table where he jumped back. Then I put my hand back down and he would jump on me again. This went on for quite a while that day. For several weeks she kept showing up during lunch (in fact I'm sure that's one of the reasons I kept going back to that table). Never saw her again after a two week break in school but now, every time I see a jumping spider, I stick my finger in their face to see if they'll climb aboard.

In germany they are literally called "lachender Hans"! It means "laughing/smiling Hans" because it looks like they are smiling at you when you look at them directly, just a cute and funny fact, that I wanted to point out. They are just so adorable!

@@southpawdiecast8352 It’s still cool how much some of them trust her though. Most wild birds won’t go too close to people (let alone on their shoulders) so I think that’s the part that we should be focussing on. And she’s not scamming anyone lol, she has videos of her feeding them and stuff on her Facebook (although she might have deleted them now, I got rid of Facebook so idk).
