I’ve been following your journey with Skydog Sanctuary for years, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you are saving and reuniting these Magnificent Sentient Beings!!! These government 3 letter agencies need to be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up to stop the cruelty of these wild herds!! Leaving them alone to roam freely in the wilderness just as their ancestors did!!! These ranchers also need to step back and take some ownership and responsibility that they are part of the problem with Roundups!!! What a phenomenally, wonderfully formidable Lady that you are. You are living my dream life. Horses have been my passion since I was 4yrs old. I'm now 60, but my Daddy bought my first pony at 4 and I was instantly "glittered". I truly cannot think of another word that fits. It wasn't a hobby, or any kind of sideline. It was passion. For ANY horse. No matter the breed, color or male or female. DIDN'T MATTER. Well. I'm sure I don't really need to explain it to you. I'm soooooo happy for you and that you get to live your passion. I got to also, for a time. But my health got in the way. But I continue living my passion through people like you by watching you. I love the family stories of the wild mustangs. I've always known how smart horses are and that they're herd animals. I tried to get a second pony out of my parents with that very argument, but I guess at 9yrs old they didn't think I knew what I was talking about. LOL. Anyways I digress. Sorry. Horses are labeled by the BLM as an invasive species because they are not native to North America but were brought over by early European settlers. The labeling horses as "feral" instead of wild (like runaway cats breeding in back alleys) and "invasive" gives the BLM legal rights to be as evil as they want to be in the interests of the cattle industry (money making).
