Glad you enjoyed yourself out in countryside not too far from where I live. You are right in the heart of motorcycle trials country there. Hawks nest trials ground is just around the corner from Three shires. Manor steps is close to where you were petting the horse. There is a national trial happening all round there mid January if you fancied a look, you would find all the details on Manchester 17 mcc website if interested.

Fantastic Son! Yes, the dickhead brigade ruined most of the decent passes in Derbyshire. I can remember being at the Cat when some nob on a GSXR 1000 decided to wheelie all the way down to the camera down the hill. He didn't make it, then were stuck there while they got the air ambulance in. I've never seen the point of bombing through beautiful scenery. I hope you're well, and I PROMISE to catch up soon!
