These are the future of the fashion doll market. They prove that it IS possible to make excellent quality dolls for a good price, unlike what Mattel Stans like to say to validate Mattel’s crappy quality. Like these are cheaper than BMR1959 but ACTUALLY represent modern streetwear, have actual painted acessories (something collector label dolls from mattel don’t have anymore, like wth?), NO PIXELATED FACE PRINT (who likes that stuff???), are ALSO FULLY ARTICULATED, and two outfits with the best quality a playline doll can have, while BMR dolls can’t even pull-off ONE full outfit with their tacky logomania, awful color scheme, unpainted accessories, pixelated faces and cheap fabrics. Mattel REALLY REALLY needs to step it up, like, these dolls look better than their platinum label dolls. Awesome review

@@K41R0XO Same. All the fashion dolls are on the same aisle, except Barbie is on one end and the MGA dolls are on another end of the aisle. However, I noticed only the OMG LOL Surprise dolls get their own separate display out in the open along with being in the fashion doll aisle. Barbie doesn't get that kind of promotion anymore.

Rainbow High is the best Doll Line I've seen in Life since Mattel destroy there own powerful Monster High Franchise by giving it a desaster of a lame reboot. I love Rainbow High Dolls and my favorite is Sunny. She is awesome. 😍

At first for me I didn’t really like their faces but after having three at the moment I grew into loving their overall look. It’s great quality, has good weight to them, aside from the excess of gel in their hair it’s a full head of hair and really good quality as well, with a complete second out. For the asking price it’s not that bad. Although I agree about the whole diversity thing & it would be cool to see darker skin tones I feel like there may be a reason as to why we’re not seeing it yet. Overall I do enjoy this line & am interested in getting the others especially the pink & indigo one & am excited to see the web series. I feel like the series is going to have a similar effect that Monster High & Ever after high had, with the fans seeing a certain character & wanting the doll of that character & that’s what’s probably going to happen here. This line has a lot of potential as well as potential longevity if done right. OMG came blazing through & took the doll community by storm with no signs of stopping or slowing down any time soon and to be honest I hope it doesn’t because it’s a line that I really enjoy and love, looking forward into remix! It’s crazy how over a year I’ve became such a huge fan of MGA but it’s simply because the quality & attention to detail is always there.

Love, love LOVE the Rainbow High dolls! The weight of them, the way their clothes are well stitched and detailed, the inset eyes, the amazing hair and the articulation make these dolls better than any I have seen in years, and I'm old enough to have seen a lot of dolls (55 to be exact)!

Love the Rainbow High dolls and hope they make more of them, totally agree they need more skin tones, eye colours, and hair styles, but still think they look amazing and are great quality dolls, would be great to see more adult collector dolls as they could do a lot more with the design of the dolls, Ruby would have to be my favourite but love them all 😍💖🌈

I think Rainbow High will make it to at least a third season. Since the second season was already planned by the time the first season was released (usually products like this take 6 to 12 months before they are fully in production), and with the buzz on the rainbow high name and brand alone, I'm pretty sure MGA will attempt to continue with this brand. My guess is by the third series, we should get a better idea of how well the line is actually selling.

@@texbex1468 they fit some Barbie's / some clothes fit barbies. Clawdeena9 and My Froggy Stuff have videos showing the fit on other dolls. Id definitely be buying them for all my dolls and using what works on which dolls. It's not all the same fit, so the pieces vary which doll they fit, but they do fit barbies fairy regularly!

Emma Cann Thanx! Yeah, I have Barbies, OMGs, Bratz, Ever After High, and Monster High, so hopefully the clothes (and shoes? No one’s tried on shoes on other dolls, have they?). I’m maybe the only person who doesn’t want a Rainbow High doll, which is fine, BUT if they sold separate fashion packs at affordable prices, I would definitely give them a go.

@@texbex1468 the shoes fit the big sister MH, and any closed toe ones should fit MH. Too big for barbie and LOL OMG. I suspect they would fit the WWE Barbies and any Mattel or Hasbro superhero dolls (their feet are huge compared to other dolls. I know Clawdeena9 tried some on others. I don't recall if Froggy did, but I know Clawdeena9 did. Most of the shoes also come with socks, which helps. I'm not too into getting a RH doll either, they're only ok in my eyes and I'd rather save for a different doll (I stear more towards collector lines than play lines). But the clothes would be a game changer for my dolls.

The *Green doll was brown* in the Prototype pictures that came out a year ago, but her outfit, and overall look was generic, simple, and boring so they dressed her up as Billy and switched the skin tone to help her look more like Billy. Honestly all I care about is quality control. My purple dolls hand broke off when I carefully tried to pop it off to undress her. Stuff like that can really hold people back from buying more, and then it doesn't matter what color they are because if sales go down MGA will stop making them like Bratz 2015.

The yellow doll skin in person looks much more deep. they should have done more 2 or 3 skin tones for the first wave? Yes! All the white dolls in my shelf looks exactly the same, with different clothing, if the facemold was different It would be ok and not repetitive. I got Willow, Ruby and Sunny, I don't know if me and my husband will get the other 3, we are from Brazil and each doll cost U$100,00 with taxes + shipping.

I love the barbies from the early 2000. The rubber boby feel havy in the hand and not like a flimsy plastic. The packaging was beautiful and on every barbie different. The different theme of every barbie was nice executed. Today when i look in a toy shop, most barbies are princess or mermaid. And the closing from the early 2000 barbies was beautiful. I'm happy y'all talked diversity in these dolls because MGA completely missed that mark. They really better turn out some new skintones, hair types, and eyes in the next wave or I'm worried they never will. I was very shocked to see the white wash from such a company that has done better many times in the past. Love hearing from y'all.

The thing about MGAE is that part of the reason they were able to strike and shake Barbie/Mattel so strongly is by putting diversity so forward. Rather than recolor one look for all the friends of different skintones each core four bratz member had her own style and their own personality. With OMGs a good portion of them are darker skinned too so the exclusion is way more noticable in RH and in a bad way.

I also think its very interesting how the OMGs (which i love!) are mostly women of colour and support a lot of "sexy" features like the lips, the detailed chest and the nails. and then the rainbow high girls are mostly white and have a lot of childlike features like the proportions and the eyes. both doll lines are made by MGA and it kinda implies that being black is "ratchet" and being white is pure. as if black women weren't hyper sexualized already :/

omgs in general have a more “sexy” look, whether theyre black or white. rainbow high are actually teens and wear clothes to go to school lol (even though some of it would probably be inappropriate for a school). they are also dolls of other colors that aren’t white and wear the same clothes. i think its more of a brand/line thing than a skin color thing.

Doll diversity is mostly USA problem, for some other parts of the world these girls are brown enough to look very diverse XD In my country even such skin color looks very exotic. It's always fun to look at complains about "not black enough" when in your country all people of color starting with native indians have same problems. I don’t see anything wrong with their hair curlier hair can’t really be combed or brushed unless you wash it or want to wet it,change the style but then you can’t brush it again until you re wash it it would puff up if you brush or comb it dry

I’m new to the doll scene, I haven’t started collecting, just watching vids and getting the vibe. Why did they stop making Monster High and Ever After High dolls? They seemed so amazing and it doesn’t seem like anything else has come along to replace them. Is there any talk of bringing either series back? I’d love to start collecting but the only ones think I could see myself collecting is those two.

A common consensus I see is that Mattel tried to accommodate to parents by rebooting Monster High with softer expressions and less freaky stuff... But at the same time also lowered the quality of the dolls themselves, which I don't understand at all. For Ever After High, blame Disney. They used their Disney Descendants line to basically push EAH towards going out of style.

When I was a little girl I used to always have barbies and I loved them but now I only have mga dolls because i think barbie quality has gone down a lot wich makes me sad I wish barbies come with stands and nice fashions and more but they just have the same old dress in every barbie I really wish it was just as good rainbow high but it’s not
