Sara, that was beautiful. I thank God for your courage to share this with others. Your conversation with your 18-yr-old self was very horrifying and touching. I know it still meant a lot to you to bring you to choke up. I wanted to cry. I know from what you said you don't blame yourself which is great because many victims do. Thank you for your transparency and may your words and gracious spirit help someone else to realize he or she isn't alone.

I can relate to the advice to your 21 year old you. I used to be the same (I am 24 now) and am just realizing that the world is not just black and white! Instead of thinking I know the answer to everything and know what is right in any situation, I now know, that I actually do not know anything at all. First, this really got me struggling but I am learning how it is also liberating. I would have to tell my younger self to be more forgiving, more merciful and more loving with everyone - including myself.

Thank you so much for sharing yourself and this video with us. I know it must have been even the slightest bit difficult to expose so many vulnerabilities, but that is a bravery that is often undermined yet almost always appreciated. A lot of the things you said to your 20's-old self admittedly hit me in the gut because I'm also going through similar struggles. But it was inspiring to know that someone else has gone through those things, and that they made it out alive, and have thrived and created beautiful things with their life. So thank you so much. ^_^

So much good advice. The No means No was so encouraging for me. I am learning healthy boundaries for my emotional well being. No is necessary for avoiding not only hurts, but also burn out overload. My personal experience was 8 years of too much volunteering and not been aware of been co-dependant with people in need. Been working on this for a while. With good help from a great counselor. Still learning the stay calm, and speak firmly yet kindly when saying no. My voice sometimes shows my irritation which is because of the resentment and build up of the burn out. Was neglecting my needs. Also, learning to keep up with good self care. Like healthy eating. Love your channel, so many healthy food recipes^^*
