From the looks of the sides, there must have been some terrible shicano occured here & hopefully no loss of life. How many times do people have to be told "No wipes of any kind!", as this will cause destruction of your septic lines & manhole. Luckily for me, I have not eaten today, although my tummy is growling something awful, but certainly not from this deadly soup of poo & other unnamed floating bits & pieces. I imagine the odor emanating from this witches brew would turn the stomach of most stout hearted men. Thanks again Andy for a job well down & for sharing this dastardly video.

I will admit I used to put wipes in the toliet until I had a blockage n they told me why it was blocked. That was about 10 years ago n since then I haven't done it n had no issues.

Wipes are the bane of plumbing. The better half used them for everything and just flushed them,which I didn't know. Six months in and the toilet, bathroom sink and washer drain all backed up. Cost me 110,000 yen (about 1000 US) to clear the blockage. I didn't understand why she flushed them, the toilet is in a different room than the bath/shower room, so she carried them to the toilet instead of dropping them in the bin. She said the package said "flushable" hahaha. A $4 pack of wipes cost me a grand.

They could put wipes in a seperate bin in the bathroom if its there just for facial or hand cleaning. I never use wipes at all if ever i need to wash my back passage after pushing out solids i wash myself down in the sink using a sponge. I wash the sink and my sponge afterwards for obvious reasons. Nice job Jetter 2 :)

Look at it this way. Pledgelettes = Paychecks. (Pledgelettes are another term for wipes). Wipes = Yipes! (As in those calls for emergency plugged drains). Rags = Bags ( as in money earned). Great job Andy!

You could use a long narrow cylinder with a clear bottom, push in down to see the bottom and locate the drainpipe 👍

When you throw the stuff back in at the end and say "theyre not gonna stop doing it, so..." i wonder if it's about time drain rodders should report instances of this to the water board. They could keep a database, and as soon as 3 strikes are reported within say 12 months, the homeowner gets a £5000 fine. Soon put a stop to it.

My thoughts exactly. If the rodders where able too (my preferred choice) or licenced by the local water authorities (this would open a can of worms that would be horrendous to all), then they could report such reclass attitudes. If the customers knew that there would be costly consequences then most would have a change of heart, and improve their behaviour, even if only 90% did that, it would be beneficial to all. I love this channel but I do sometimes get frustrated when these guys go out on jobs that are so manmade, by people who don't care, and probably don't pay the bills for the work done.

Blame the companies making them and selling them as "flushable"! It's not illegal to make them, use them or flush them. The only thing it's not is environment friendly and it's a personal choice to act or to ignore. Punishing customers first is what governments are doing right now: shifting the blame and it's all too easy. We, as individuals, need to take responsibility but governments need to take action. Ban those blighted things and be done with it.

With going through someone's house, big nozzle isn't a wise choice 👍keep it on the trigger when going through a property i say. you can use it, but I certainly wouldn't if I'm having to run back to the van quickly if it misfired 🤣

When a single family can block a home drain using wipes. What will happen to the main city drain when every other home is using the wipes and they make it into main drain? I remember something happening locally were some required maintences didn't get done and a big enough ball of them caused a big leak and a sinkhole and a year long repair.

Love the comments, Jenny. But... A thought... Could someone, such as Milwaukee, invent a rotating wipes chewer to help deal with the problem? Like the root destroyer, perhaps... I'm just an ordinary person who enjoys watching skilled people doing an excellent job so it's quite possible that no one has yet managed to get such a device to work.

Just use the full jetter not the worm nozzle, harder to set up as there's no trigger but much more power

@@tehs3raph1m I have often wondered why the Jetters don't use a setup like Ollie (Drain Addict) in Sydney Australia. I suspect that frequent lack of a reliable water point might be the problem. Ollie has a more extensive selection of heads and more power with that setup (and better control).

@@Michael_CS615 mostly because UK drains don't require it. Remember Ollie is cutting roots 90% of the time, For the UK drainage systems the worm jetter is the most appropriate comparable tool. Most blockages on here are done in less time than Ollie gets his done because root cutting takes time. Also you are right about the amount of water used, it's very demanding on the van tank to pump that much water volume, more refills required etc.

That’s it push the wet wipes to the pump station. It will get wrapped around the impellers of the pumps and keep the engineers in work and the tanker boys busy pump station cleans are good prices. Here in the Thames they say bin it don’t block it lol. I wonder if they said it not us we don’t put them down the bog. Lol

I don’t know what kind of wipes they use over there in the UK, but the ones that I use are smaller than the tp and thinner as well. What you’re pulling up looks like what we would call paper towels. Those would definitely go into the trash.

they are "baby wipes", but even so-called flushable wipes are not really flushable.. they do not break down quickly enough and cause blockages.
