Don't understand what is the point in driving around with all glasses rolled up and saying not hearing anything. Simply park the car, rev the engine and place the mike near the exhaust with before and after sound. If you want to hear the sound inside the car, there are OBD based device which pair to your music system and you can chose exotic car sounds.
