I thought it would be atleast 300-310 hp and 450 NM of torque at stage 2. Seems like a conservative setup.

It's very conservative, in the UK a stage 2 JCw produces roughly 320 hp and for the automatic, the Torque is limited to 420 to 440 to prevent the gearbox from dying. Manuals produces up to 470 nm. So ye it's a conservative tune, stage 1 is roughly 280 to 290 in the UK on a dyno.

practicality aspect of GTI, makes it more suitable for Indian condition as the ideal Hot-Hatch. Mini lacks in ground clearance and reliability aspect, plus its just too overpriced and girly.
