2015 Lexus NX First Drive!

Ron Doron gets behind the wheel of the 2015 Lexus NX. The NX is a luxury compact crossover and competes with vehicles like Audi Q5 and BMW X3. The design is aggressive and the features are impressive. Also, this is the first ever Turbo from Lexus for the American market.

Nice vehicle. I'm not usually 'brand-loyal,' but with Lexus I am. I own an LS and over the years have had _almost zero_ repair issues; extremely reliable. Wonderful. That'll be my next car, and my next after that, I predict :)

My dad just bought a Lexus Nx 200t F sport, it's awesome!!! I highly recommend it to small families or young adults! Definitely worth your money!

I own the first version of the IS 250 and have upgraded to the Lexus NX 200t F Sport but I won't see it until late November or early December. (Well, I consider it an upgrade.) The wait is killing me. To help me cope I've been surfing the net and KZbin for all things NX. (Yes, I'm obsessing.) I've enjoyed most of the reviews but this was one of the best, and I didn't get the feel this review was paid for by Lexus. Great job Ron! Looking forward to see your review after having it for a week.

It will be worth the wait. Lexus is building some exciting new models, attracting younger buyers. Today TheDriversSeat is among the first group of journalists to drive the RC350 and RC F, a performance coupe that rivals the BMW 4-Series.

Here we are in December, and there's now a 9 month waiting list... Just threw down $60K on a NX300h F-Sport, and it won't deliver until 20 September 2015... Lexus planned for monthly sales of about 900, and over 9,000 sold in just the first month...

Congrats! I pick my NX 200t F Sport up tomorrow morning from Lexus HigashiYamato. They will come pick me up from my house around 9:00 and take me to her. I feel like a kid the night before Christmas morning. Sorry you have to wait so long, but I know you know it'll be well worth the wait. We should start up an NX club lol.

I purchased a competitor last year, a 2013 RDX and love it. I put tons of miles on my cars, currently have 58k and luckily no issues at all. Prior to the RDX I had a 2008 IS250 and it was beautiful, but total headache, car was burning oil at 30k, recall was issued. I truly loved driving the car, but the recalls did it for me. I would consider this, but would buy it way down the road once all the kinks have been removed.

FYI, these NX are on the streets of San Jose, Costa Rica already. Didn't see a plate, so maybe just for test drives and to take deposits. But they are live.

IMO the NX looks great and typical of Lexus. Two major misses however are what were they thinking by putting the cheap black plastic around each wheel well and is that nav screen an aftermarket one that they glued to the dash.

Being 19 years old, I was stuck in limbo between the Lexis IS 350 F Sport or the Honda Accord V6 with Nav. I took the Accord and I am glad. About 13 grand less and still pack a punch. Yes, its not a Lexus, but it still isn't bad. *Still drives the 2007 is350 because it is my first car. Honestly, getting a new Lexus is a waste of money :X pls don't bash me.

Do you know what the least expensive luxury car in America is? it's the Mercedes-Benz CLA250 stripped. You can't find one, but it's $30K. The typical payment on a $30K car is $600/month + insurance + maintenance + fuel. How many "young" people do you know can afford that much plus pay rent plus bills? "Younger" means under 50 because the average age of a new luxury car buyer is closer to 58. Not defending Lexus, but they're trying. Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Infiniti, etc..... are all in the same boat.

I just checked, a 2012 LS 600h executive with 50k driven (km) is 110K. A brand new LS 600h F-Sport is 190K, Premier 215K, Luxury 205K.

If this engine were to be put in the IS250, I can only imagine Lexus upping the horsepower rating to stay on par with the 3 series and ATS.. 285 hp perhaps?

The minimum for pretty much all Brand New Lexus cars/suv's is 35K and up. I'm not sure how they plan on marketing this to a person in their 20's? Well the only thing I can think of is if that person has a high paying job, because your profession really determines a lot in life of what you are going to purchase... car, house, etc etc. I love Lexus and have had 3 so far... looking for my 4th now.

These all look the same now. I just bought Mercedes GLA45 AMG and it is the same size/design/ for the most part anyway. GLA45 has 355 HP but the Gla standard has 208. I love my AMG

The non- F Sport models have a more conservative grill which most people like. Just don't get the F Sport and you'll be happy.

We get paid a few dollars by Google through ad revenue from this channel (which doesn't come close to covering the cost of shooting the video), but if you're implying that Lexus paid for this review, you clearly don't understand how things work in the industry. Also, keep in mind that this was only a First Drive especially since no pricing has been released. We'll have an opportunity to be more critical once we spend a full week with the NX. Thanks!
