Yep, the hallucinations of pyro is Scout's PTSD driving him insane

Watch the ending again (I guess around the beginning of the scene where Scout's receiving his medal), the Pyro will make quite a few blink-and-you-miss-it flashes in the background. On another note, I always used to view the Pyro's demonic powers as being more metaphorical, like he's this really tough enemy and gets portrayed in a suitable fashion. However (slight spoilers), if you continue the story in the Ghosts of the Past series, it turns out that the demonic Pyro actually was literal.

Honestly, 2fort is a horrible map to play when you're learning the game. It's design is overall antiquated, and it's only really in the game because it was part of the original Team Fortress Quake mod. Way too easy to just have an engineer in the flag room, and that makes the intel basically impossible to get to without an uber, and even then, lord help you because there's probably going to be even more engineers, which makes it literally impossible to get.

It is possible to get in without an Uber. Let's say, if ur a soldier, u can enter as a pack of 2 or 3 soldiers. Or a spy, self explanatory but basically useless. Scout, maybe idk.
