Hey Duddha2. Great video! Just to note, when counting, you can always move the lone stones around inside the territory to create "boxes" of territory. This allows you to count territory faster without counting one by one. Not sure if you knew already. If you didn't, it will save you lots of time, especially on a full 19x19. Keep up with the tutorials. Always fun to watch. -Ken 9k. :)

+theduddha2 Ah yes, I noticed at the end you added in the prisoners to help clean it up. Very nice. While teaching, Ive had many people get stuck on knowing when the game is over as well. I try to tell them that placing stones are like constructing fence to keep in animals, and to make sure to block off all areas that animals can get out. It also keeps them from placing arbitrary pieces within their own established territory, as you would not just plop a fence post down in the middle of your yard. This visual tends to help them with that. I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Where do you live? On the of chance you are in Florida, maybe we could meet up for a friendly game. :)

black's move at 8:55 is already correct, why make thing unnecessarily complicated? at 9:47, black's best move is 1-2 to make an eye 10:22, correct move for white is 1-1 and capture one black stone and the whole black group is dead

At 11:13, if I want to make two eyes, don’t the eyes have to be surrounded by all my own color?

Looks like white could capture the four stones on the left when you started counting around 17 minutes.

at 8:26 can't black play at 1-5 or the spot that white takes after? If white descends then black can play 2-5 and kill those 5 stones. If white tries to kill blacks stone at 1-5, black can reduce white to one eye. And at 16:14 it doesn't look like black need to respond.

I like your videos, and your instruction. You really don't answer any of my previous questions. Like for example, do you ever use the app, go of the world. I am on there as PAULEY. AND NO I AM NOT SELLING THAT ON YOU, OR ENDORSING IT... KEEP UP WITH THE INSTRUCTION VIDEOS...

Hmm, I wouldn't recommend that very, very beginners play on 13x13 until after they're comfortable with 9x9, and by then they're no longer very, very beginners! Also, point-by-point counting is too difficult fir beginners. Approximate counting by blocks is much easier. Not to be critical, but FYI most of your specific tactical sequences contain errors. And I think the counting lesson got somewhat lost in those. So in sum, maybe stick to 9x9 for this sort of thing.

+Steve Bloom i agree. I think i stated that one should not play this way... block counting is easier, but point counting i feel should be learned first. And yes, a 9x9 is probably easier, but i wanted to explain territory and wanted a larger area for explaining invasions and killing an a simple way. I am happy in one way and not in another way about who this vid turned out. Hopefully it works for the very very beginner's questions regarding territory and ending the game. And go ahead an be critical, your allowed :>]

Bit too long winded than necessary imo. If I was a beginner I think I'd get the point by the time of the 2nd invasion at the top left and bottom left that the territories are well defined and that there is nothing the other player can do so the game would end at that point.

+slaiyfershin Some people catch on slower than others. I had lots of people asking me questions that I thought was obvious, so I over simplified as much as I could. Sorry if it was too much for ya
