Princess is honestly unbelievable. Everytime I play against SE or really any fire deck, I feel like they absolutely would not be as insane as they are without princess. I build SE in MD and every time she resolves, I feel like she's the most broken card ever printed.

that girl is such a unfair card it lock player for fire but only when shes on field, it was so generic and easy to summon, can special summon fire monster for free (and its not negate the card that being special summon), also give distruption ON GY (on some deck like FK it was a win)

Yubel is the perfect proof that no archetype is truly beyond saving if Konami puts their back into supporting it. There's no reason to assume that 2025 can't be the year of Malicevorous.

Yubel didn't just dominate the IRL card game or Master Duel, but helped dominate Duel Links for a good while too. There was a Skill released last year that let you summon Yubel and Elemental Hero Neos without Tributing and you could either immediately summon Yubel's other forms, or summon out Kluger or Wiseman.

I believe that the sheer strength of theming in Yu Gi Oh archetypes means that even if the top 10 decks of a format are exactly the same mechanics wise it will still feel varied enough for the part of the playerbase that actually matters to keep eating it up. Every other player needs to accept this fact going forward even if it is hard to swallow.

To be fair, every decent deck can do a lot off one card. This isn't really as oppressive as what Circular or Riumheart or Ostinato or Neo Space Connector let you do, heck, even Tenpai can do more off a single Kaimen in BP, the difference is this deck can probably do it through 2 hand traps and with 2 of their own handtraps in grip, and can do it next turn should you fail to kill them.

Honestly you should do a Top 10 Most Competitive Decks and Archetypes for the years you haven't covered as well. Obviously you wouldn't really be able to do it for the first years. Maybe you could do a video talking about what the most dominant strategies were for the early years. Like stall, beat down etc. But then do individual videos when decks and archetypes started to be used. It would be cool to see what the best decks and archetypes were throughout the years.

Ryzeal only made it because they won a YCS, which few decks did this year thanks to the Snake-Eye dominance. If Maliss had won instead it'd have gotten the spot.

I'm not really. Ryzeal is an easy deck with only 2 real builds, Pure and Fiendsmith, while Mal is more difficult and has more builds to work through (Pure, Striker, Kashtira, Gryphon, etc), so it's going to take longer to figure out. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes #1 next year though, with the support in ALIN.

2024 typifies why I love and will always Love Yugioh, after coming back into recently only a Year ago, since 2012!! 😄 Theres _so_ many Amazing Decktypes / Archetypes now with so much Power at your disposal. It makes old Yugioh look withered , tired and Ancient where We had only Goat control , TeleDAD and the 1 or 2 flavor pick / anti-Meta decks of the Year. Now, We have well over 20 , 10 on here on objective Tournament Success basis - and Branded didnt even make it! A day and age where Agido & Kelbek are banned. 😅

Melodious is one of my favorite decks ever since they added the support to Master Duel. Figured out how to play it all on my own, and I'll look for any excuse to use it. Within the deck, Etoile is a better DPE. I've had a lot of fun with Fire Kings, but I refuse to play Yubel, and Tenpai is boring cancer. If Tenpai have their Field Spell, and you don't destroy it immediately, it truly becomes a one player game. You can't do anything in the Main Phase, and you can't do anything during the Battle Phase, either.

Xyz is pretty easy to understand but Link and pendulum? I need to figure out. Thank you for your informative videos, everything helps me a lot. I'm looking for a good deck for tournaments in 2025. Any suggestions anyone? It's been like 2 weeks that I search information and I heard a lot of Yubel Fiendsmith Ryzeal, some others too like white Forrest or Tenpai. Never heard of Snake Eye tho.

I believe you mismatched the effects of first movement and ostinato. Ostinato is the equivalent of Branded Fusion and 1st Movement is the equivalent of Spright Starter

i play snake-eyes together with volcanic ... simply for the reason it's a fire and (mostly) pyro deck .. i just don't play a pure archtype ... i rather pick the archtype i am interested in and put an engine on it that fits ... ... and funny enough ... i was not sure if i used volcanic as the engine or snake-eyes ... another archtype i play toghther with volcanic is Horus ( i know not a fire themed archetype) ... .. mostly dropping shells for horus burials to then additionally get emperor out even having the option to FHD aside from standard lv8 xyz or linkplays may try fire king some day ... ... tenpai ... i don't realy know ...

And the artwork would be kinda like that one Jojo meme of the three protagonists kicking the one guy, but with the Goblin on the floor and Diabell, Diabellstar and Diabellze kicking him around as he’s flipping them off and cussing them out… While the other Goblin Riders are robbing them blind in the background whilst they’re distracted.

Well the deck is kinda anti-meta in a way, it's a reactionary deck, so can only be as good as the format let it.... also in lots of ways, it dies to Ash, no amount of Dimensional Barrier or Skill Drain can fix that.

A bit surprised Spright had so many tops last year... the engine obviously is great but especially without Elf the deck needs other engines for help - hope in POTE 2.0 they can get some help. Also shocked that Melodious is only 10th I personally rank the deck higher - but I guess after Fiendsmith the deck was just left out... Lastly Snake Eye obviously had the lore benefit but its just silly tear was crushed in a moment... there were only 3 days where Tear was full power... and I guess 3 months with near full power. Yet Snake Eye was able to get the Halq treatment of tricking Konami and players into banning the abused cards instead of the abusers and ran around for 11 Months, well of course like tear they got support along the way, but thats kinda worse tear had 2(3) waves of support - Snake Eye got support in nearly every other set (exaggeration). And now FS is the next tier 0 thing... busted since release and like a parasite now finds a new home in the new Tier 1 decks... sight Regardless - unbann kitkalos and give us POTE 2.0 konami cowards!

The reason why SE can easily beat Tear record, bcoz Kashtira and Bystial release in the same year (just 2 months) with Tear which deny Tear Strategy to goes in to GY. Also, there's no acctual good deck can deny SE strategy released in the same year also Konami make stupid banlist for SE make SE way more unstoppable.

Don't like how Komoney dealt with Snake-eyes. Just as the video said, Snake-Eyes just pivot to other engings when banning the cards they use (baronne, borreload savage, apollousa) while Tearlaments was dealt with the heaviest bans i've ever seen in a while - limiting cards here and there, banning Kid Carlos and the ishizu millers, among other restrictions the deck had. KOMONEY BRING BACK TEARLAMENTS!!!!

@Noobscodee in Masterduel? I doubt they knew any more than its basic combo, that can carry a while. I wasn't talking that. its missing Creation King, the awesome fusion sheep, and the direct attack fish. Also, missing it's goblin biker Spellcard, It has made like every tournament since it got those. And even then, I'm guessing they weren't using it right in Masterduel. It's very hard to use. Especially with a timer and leaning a new route through disruption. In its Masterduel state it mostly needs its normal summon for a basic combo. It's Masterduel ways to get around this are partying and fusioning through it, It usually needs to go first in Masterduel, despite having so much potential for destruction and stealing. There's still some fun to play, you can still use this fun tech where you pull out Horned Dragon with Combined, pop it with a party that you either searched or pull back out to reuse with the field spell, pull out witch with party, search you change of heart hand trap. Blow up the witch and 2 enemy monsters with the effect of the exploded Horned. Then you have 5 negates with cranium and an SP. You can get more links if you do it in ideal order accounting for what's in hand and using the field spell. This is so complicated you might lose in time though. With king, it could dump 3, including a king which can get your fieldspell when banished, and the fusion sheep is great too. Unfortunately, Masterduel is still waiting.

@Noobscodee in Masterduel? Its missing King, the fusion sheep and the weird fish. Not to mention the goblin biker spell that can be an extra starter in a deck of starters. Besides, Memento is so hard to pilot i doubt you were facing someone who knew more than the main combo. Regardless, as it stands in Masterduel, it needs its normal summon, or to fuse or party through a disruption, and when you do that you need to know a whole new combo to run many unique searchs of cards . In Masterduel, if they aren't very practiced, they probably want to go first. After it got king and the sheep, It popped up in high places in TCG and OCG tournaments quite a bit.
