@@ahlixemus8903 he couldn't expect Konami to make a completely broken spell that breaks all of the factors that make Ritual monsters bad. I do blame him for putting Divine Serpent Geh on the list instead of Rainbow Overdragon, tough. Neither card is exactly meta defining, but at least Rainbow Overdragon is much easier to build a deck around and in the OCG, where the Rainbow Dragon retrain is available, it becomes a legitimate win condition for the increasingly popular Crystal Beast Tribrigade builds, even if only as a side deck option. Turns out, Ultimate Crystal Magic is impeevious to most forms oficialmente negation because Damage Step rules, and to add insult to injury, the fusion material is sent from the hand, field or DECK to the GY as a COST. It's basically a spell speed 4 pre-errata Future Fusion, wich ensures all copies of Rainbow Dragon in your hand will be live and any Tribrigade in hand will have 5+ targets to banish. And Rainbow Overdragon is also very difficult to stop because it tributes itself for cost, again bypassing many forms of negation; and it has the inarguably best form of removal in the entire game.

Seeing quasar dragon on this list reminds me of one of the funniest moment of my dueling careers where during a tournament my opponent had this long elaborate setup to bring out not one, but TWO quasar dragons. Red Supernova Dragon is hard to bring out, unless u use it in his archetype. Since you can bring it out using Crimson resonator and Wandering King Wildwind in 1 turn, without using your normal summon. I would say it isn't too inconveniant if used in that deck.

Junk and synchron engine is honestly a lot better than the resonators engine if yur planning to send out red supernova dragon as an openner of some sort. Its almost as easy as just activating junk speeder's effect to get out all the right tuners you would need and there are also times when yu will be left with a little bit of resources to do a bit more synchro summoning such as that lvl 4 herald monster perhaps as a support to supernova dragon. Which doesnt really happen btw with quasar dragon using the junk and synchron engine. So there you go...

Quasar is the offensive boss monster Divine is the defensive boss monster Blazar is kinda floating in the middle as it best protects itself, and has no real offensive options. Quasar can be used to end a duel in a single turn and i crafted a deck years ago that could bring this bad boy out with 2 cards in my hand and 2 in the grave, with a solid 8000 upon direct attack. Divine is probably the easiest to summon and comes with the ability to protect all cards on your side from destruction, once per turn each. Blazar is just what Shooting Star was in the anime, but with higher attack power and being oddly more difficult to summon naturally, while easier to summon with Limit Overdrive so its a toss up. If you want to stall, go Divine. Want to assault, go Quasar.

Quasar is what happened when Yusei used the power of all the other Signer dragons, representing his bonds with others, leaving them something when he dies (why Quasar floats into Shooting Star).

I think you should've made a passing mention to Cosmic Blazar Dragon during the Shooting Quasar talk. Sure, it's really duel-dependent which one is better and Blazar isn't as bombastic nor nearly as iconic, but he's regarded as just as good (a shame I can't say the same about Sifr). Also, damn I'm glad someone else appreciates Geh. Sure, it's not fantastic, but everyone treats it like it's some kind of garbage card.

I'm glad somebody mentioned Cosmic Blazar Dragon! I made a long comment about it before I saw your's, but the gist was how easy it is to turbo out in a Speedroid deck with Speedroid Marble Machine and either CarTurbo or Taketamborg in hand. Fortunately Maxx-C isn't legal, though, you're opponent would get a quarter of their deck lol. The combo is: -Normal summon Marble to search either Take or Car (whichever you're missing) -Special summon Car and Tune the two to bring out Hagoita -Special summon Take and tribute it to summon Red-Eyed Dice from deck -Use Dice's effect to drop Hagoita's level to 2 and Tune the two together into Cork Shooter, Cork can bring back its materials from grave -Use Dice's effect drop Hagoita's level to 3, then Tune the two together for Puzzle -Since Cork is a Tuner, Hagoita can Special summon itself from grave -Tune Cork, Puzzle, and Hagoita together for Cosmic Blazar Dragon (and Puzzle adds a Speedroid from grave to hand at End Phase, hopefully Double Yoyo to get Crystal Clear Wing on board next turn). It's a ton of fun, you should give it a shot!

4 years late, but he works really well with Dinomorphia. Since it revolves around paying half your LP constantly. It also makes him even harder to get rid of because Dinomorphia Rexterm can weaken your opponent’s entire field, and have Geh at 3000+ ATK. He also makes good material for BLS Soldier of Chaos in a pinch, since he’s level 12, he makes BLS untargetable and indestructible.

To be fair final sigma, even though it's generic, works best in mathmechs and there it routinely does 8000+ dmg per attack so I don't think they could boosted it's attack any higher. It's just that multiplier, division and nayuuta are really strong

the strategy of the final sigma is for you to do it using mathmech nabla and mathmech multiplication, when they go to the cemetery, nabla lets you attack opponent's monsters twice, while multiplication leaves him with 6000 atk, double that in a battle with a monster 2000 or less, OTK

It's technically only specific things that are obvious or more likely to be noticed depending on the context of that Reference and how on the nose it is. Though this time they took a chance to keep the alliteration. It's less a Konami thing (they don't care either way) and more due to regulations with the FCC and similar government branches when it comes to games and content aimed at children (8+ logo). In the case of Religious refs. It's both, trying to avoid insulting/disrespect a popular faith. And to avoid anything that may they believe may encourage kids to join that faith or cult. And of course the reason Yu-Gi-Oh has to deal with this is because it's marketing was a mess in the early years. Marketed to teens in Japan and to little kids as young as 7 and 8 over in the West as a whole. Though designs are more in sync these days. Due to Konami trying to market to kids in Japan. And the older player base over all that come in and out of the game.

You REALLY like busting out trashy, impossible to summon anime monsters, I see. I can't really blame you, bringing those kinds of monsters gives you a feeling of absolute dominance of the game that nothing else can really replicate. My competitive decks are designed in fact to be able to bring out someting incredibly dumb each. My Dinosaur deck can turbo out the Five Headed Link Dragon with it's nuke active, my Tribrigade-Crystal deck can bring out Rainbow Dragon and it's evolutions, the Six Samurai deck can loop PSY Blocker, Enterblathnir and Cowboy to disable EVERY card in Yugioh, banish their entire hand and deck and burn them to near-death before skipping their first turn and attacking directly for infinite damage, and the Floowanderzee deck packs Winged Dragon of Ra as a finisher.

Ritual Monsters should've ALWAYS been Extra Deck. Unfortunately, that'd require Errataing every card that can search Ritual Monsters, as that wouldn't be possible anymore. That'd also make some cards potentially useless if their only effect was grabbing Ritual Monsters.

One point I'd like to make about divine serpent Geh: It is easily beaten by effects that raise ATK since it copies the *original* ATK, not the current. So any monster that gains power over it's base stats makes it free real estate.

I get the feeling Ultimaya is really good in Eldlich decks. Uni zombie's level modulation is handful to get it to level 5, which is also the same level as 2 out of 3 trap monsters in the deck. Then the traps can banish themselves during the opponent's turn (particularly Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine which can do so at any time, though even the golden land trap cards can do so on the opponent's turn) to set cards from your deck, allowing instant free summons and spamming the board potentially.

There are only twenty Level 11 monsters and three Rank 11 monsters in the entire game. I don't know if a top 10 of a list of 23 total monsters would be super interesting, especially when the number 1 spot is super obvious (Nibiru).

I just had a thought before heading to sleep that would drive me nuts if I don’t have it written before I forget: there should be a spell card that make it so that level/rank 10 and 11 monsters are worth two tributes for tribute summoning, while level/rank 12 are worth _3_ tributes to summon three tribute monsters like the Egyptian and Wicked Gods. Alternatively, it could also be that monsters that take the names of godly beings from real fiction (with names like _god, goddess, divine, deity, asier, source, rebuilder (to count the sacrifice of the three level 11 Star gods, Sophia, Tierra and Avida as part of the cards effect) and of course actual divine beast monsters, ect.._ you know, god cards that aren’t exactly *GOD CARDS* ) are worth extra tribute to the three Egyptian god cards, with higher tribute worth being attributed to harder to bring out “god” cards. A level/rank 4 “god” card would be worth 2 tributes to an Egyptian God, but if you sacrifice monsters like Sophia, Tierra or Avida, one of them alone is fully worth the three tributes for an Egyptian God Card. If anyone has ideas to proofread/ fine tune this, I’m all ears.

People wondering why Herald is low in this list. Because it's shit. Any Light Fairy Decks needed to turbo this card and still boggles them into Herald only in their field and has only 2-3 negates which burns hands. Why is it strong in MD? Or in the TCG previously? Dryton. This archetype's cards enables Ultimateness to be out in the field with not much setup needed unlike in the past. It also enables degenerate "Omni-Hand loops" of Ultimateness that can provide all the cost for any negation of Herald needed to say "No" to anything. The TCG hit the combo pieces of Dryton which slowed the heck Herald of Ultimateness down to a T unlike when Dryton got released, but in MD all the Dryton combo pieces are alive and well which makes Ultimateness nutty as hell. Specifically Beni and Eva Dryton cards.

I appreciate that comment about white noise. I mostly listen to these at work or when going to bed, they work out really nicely for either one. As for the video, I don't really play the game outside of simulators, but I'm surprised that Cosmic Blazar Dragon didn't make the list. Isn't it kind of an upgrade to Quasar?

More of a counterpart, rather than an upgrade. Blazar has the bonus of negating summons and attacks, but leaves the field upon doing so for the turn. Quasar is more aggressive, as it doesn't leave the field upon negating the effect, can attack multiple times and if it does leave the field, leaves behind a Shooting Star Dragon if you have it available. Still really perplexing why he wasn't mentioned on this list. He is easily on par with Quasar.

I wonder if you could bring out Magnus by some clever, Photon Sattelite/Phantom of chaos copy effect, to add their levels in some way to get 3 level 12 or more monsters on the field 🤔 For example, if you have at least 2 Photon Sattelites on the field with the use of something like machine duplication, using their effects on one another will result in two level 4 and one level 1 Photon Sattelites (the third one isn't needed on the field but is needed in the graveyard) , getting 2 Photon Sattelites to the graveyard and having a level 4 Photon Sattelite on the field, bringing out 2 Phantoms of Chaos that will copy these 2 Photon Sattelite in the graveyard, you could use one Phantom of chaos on the other, resulting in 2 level 8 phantoms of chaos, then using the second Phantom of chaos on the level 4 Photon Sattelite, to get 2 level 12 monsters on the field. I once crafted a convoluted way to have 5 level 13 monsters with 3 Phantoms of Chaos and 2 Photon Sattelites on the field to bring out the anime only Number Ci1000, in one turn 😁

For Stardust Sifr and Quasar, I suggest using "Necroid Synchro" or "Limit Overdrive". And "Ascator, Dawnwalker" + "Fire Ant Ascator" are good to turbo into "Stardust Dragon". I also use "Dotscapper" and "Scapeghost" to get "Formula Synchron" on the field easily for "Shooting Star Dragon"
