A man was serving a life sentence in prison. He made a deal with the devil if he got him out and made him rich and famous he would spend his life worshipping him. That man got out and started one the biggest bands still known today..the beatles. That man was John Lennon.

In a week I'll turn 60. Growing up in the seventies school house rock was the best teaching tool around. I still sing and remember so many of the episodes, anytime you put music and facts in a condensed form like that, it makes it fun. God bless those who came up with that concept! 👍👌

This song is EXACTLY how I learned The preamble of The Constitution. As a college professor, I use Schoolhouse Rock to teach my community college students the basics of how our government is SUPPOSED to work. I will always love SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK!!!

@@Filtch Did the professor correct your class?? When we had to recite the preamble in front of our class, after a few of us did, the teacher announced, that if we were reciting from the Saturday morning cartoon, we were wrong. The actual words written are , We The People, Of The United States Of America, the USA, part is not sung in the song.

There’s not a moment in my childhood where school house rock wasn’t apart of my education. Thankfully at my institutions this was mandatory. I just celebrated 10 years since graduation from high school and I’m thankful for this now as I was then. I’ve never forgotten one word. It means so much more to me now than it did as a minor having to memorize to pass on to the next grade, but I am so glad it’s still with me. Every year the teacher would have 18 children raise their hands and say I can already do it and sing this song. His response was always the same “you had Mrs. D in kindergarten “ and they did. I encourage teachers to use this at all grade levels.

I was in a debate round in high school once when my opponent erroneously tried to cite something to the constitution's preamble. I looked him dead in the eye and recited the entire preamble, which I knew thanks to this song, and told him that if he was going to try to cite the constitution to make sure he had his facts straight before he did.

I love schoolhouse rock. It's so american. We the people whether it's 1776 or 2076 all look out for each others good and all we want is nothing more than freedom and prosperity for everyone. Doesn't matter if your white, black, old, young we're all american at heart.

I am now 54. Born in 1966. I remember, No cell phones, no color tv, no knives or guns in schools, Yes ma'am, No ma'am, Yes sir, No sir, going next door with a plate of food to share, No VCRs or anything like that, a quarter would by you a candy bar, gas was about . 75 cents a gallon maybe less, bubble gum costed 2 for a penny, or 5 pieces for $.05, Adults ate first then the kids most of the time, roller skates had steel wheels, etc. Nobody called out any racists names, and if you did, you saw a belt coming your way, church on Sunday, Sunday night, Wednesday night, choir practice on Thursday night. Man those were the good ole days. And the Cartoons?? Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show, Daffy Duck Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Coyote, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, etc. I am done now. Well, Now, it's back to almost square one Again. Why , Can't we just agree to disagree, love one another, pray one for another. Kids today, I am So sad for you all. I pray you can find your way. Don't take life and family for granted. One day, you'll need your family. Everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 💛💜💚🎄😊🎄💚💜💛

On one of my my 9th grade history class tests, 1978, we were told to write out the preamble of the US Constituion. You knew when someone was on that part of the test because you would hear them humming this song. I wish they had done a song for the Gettysburg Address.
