I really think both of you would benefit from a three day camp at a bike park. You both have the enthusiasm and the passion, but your landings and overall control make me as a viewer....pretty worried. Then seeing that crash, it really emphasized the point. It could make for a really awesome video series as well!! Thanks, ride safe and keep up the great work!!
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I totally get it. We're fully aware of our lack of skill when it comes to jumps. It's not from a lack of trying though. We've already done tons of multiple day trips to the bike park and we spent almost every weekend this year just grinding jumps all day, sunrise to sunset. Imagine doing the same jump 100 times over the course of a day. That's how hard we've been working at it. So much so that I hardly have time to make more than 1 or 2 vids a month. Still, no dice. It's just not as easy to learn a new skill in your 30s. What might take a teen one summer to learn, might take us 2 or 3 years. I appreciate the concern though. 😊
@BigMikeSRT4 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofmtb hey, I'm right there with you! Mid-thirties still trying to get better, it's nothing but love. All I'm saying is that you probably need someone to help de-construct your habits and build up new ones. Like, landing sketchy or rear wheel first is all about your launch. It might be as simple as learning how to bunny hop or compressing your weight downward off the lip that could solve alot of this. I'm just hoping we can all do this into our 50's-60's 😁💪👍

Girlfriend & I finally made it to Boyne yesterday with our hardtails. GoPro & you both being humble doesn't give your skills & these features enough credit! When I rode up on the skinny jump to wall-ride I couldn't believe how casual you both hit that & some of the drops. All the greens except fun-run were closed, which sucked for my gf as the rest was a bit too difficult for her to enjoy. Anyway - we watched this on the way up the chairlift for motivation & were so impressed. Hope to meet you guys someday & happy bikin!

That's awesome! I hope you guys had fun at Boyne. And yeah, that GoPro effect is no joke. If something already looks terrifying on video, it usually means it's practically unrideable in real life. 😅 Anyway, take care out there on the trails. If you ever spot us on a trail, don't be a stranger. 😁👍

Hey Corey and Duke, can you two edit a comparison video of Highlands vs Blue? It's a 7 hour drive from London with a 4 hour stop in Frankenmuth, so is it worth the trip?
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
Blue is way more refined than Boyne. They have a fast lift that takes 6 bikes and people at a time. The trails are well kept. Boyne is fun for sessioning, and it has bigger drops, but the lift is slow and the runs are short. Looks like the drive is about the same for Boyne and Blue from London, MI. Given the choice, I'd usually pick Blue. They're closed this year though, so you might as well just hit up Boyne and see how you like it. Hope this helps. 😁
@LL-sk3do4 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofmtb Ah I should have clarified, London Ontario. So Boyne is about twice as far.

What fox knee pads are those you have on? Better than G-form pro rugged for breathe ability and protection?
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
They're the Launch Pro pads. I just feel that they're better for DH days. They're a little warm for long days of pedaling though. I'm using the POC Joint VPD knee pads for regular trails now. The GForms don't fit my legs well. 😅
