At 6:38, Cory mentions that the smaller one on the right would be harder. Ed says that it's just a rotten log. I don't know what condition it is in now, I haven't been there in years, but when I built it (Sep 2012), it was a fun/tricky little skinny, you had to have your right pedal up high at a specific point. I'm sure it's more rotted now than it was then.
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
Yup. It's just a rotten log at this point. Would have been cool to try it in its prime though.

Hardtail gang ! 🤟 What size tires , and what psi are you guys running on these Hardtails ? Much love from Mexico.
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
I have 2.4" 29ers. 20psi in the front and 24psi in the rear, at just over 175lbs. Cory has 27.5" wheels. 2.6" at 17psi in the front, and 2.5" with 22psi in the rear.
@stin30004 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofmtb I just started riding in April. On my first bike , a Diamondback Sync'r aluminum, 27.5 x 2.8 plus tires. What psi would you recommend for my size tires ? I've had people tell me 15 and some 25.
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
@@stin3000 Let me know your weight and I can give you a recommendation for that size of tire.
@stin30004 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofmtb I'm 5'6" and weigh about 162 lbs. I tried 15 psi and I did feel alot more grip but felt tougher to climb and when I did small jumps I really felt the landing.
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
@@stin3000 About 15 to 16 psi on the front and about 18 to 20 in the rear should do the trick. The bigger the tires, the less psi you need for a certain level of support or grip. The rear needs more psi for pedal efficiency and because most of your weight is on the rear. The front needs less psi for improved grip, especially since the front steers. I hope this helps.
