How to replace and reprogram a Renault/Dacia injector with CAN CLIP Tips and Tricks

When you use obd tool on your Renault you put the car in service mode and ignition stays on. Card in slot, choose 1 gear step on breake and push start. Display will now says "Remove Card" leave it in and it is now in service mode.

Question no 1. Does the Canclip work on Opel Movano too? I have a 2017 Renault Master and a 2018 Opel Movano. Question no2. On the 2017 Master with the 2.3 FWD engine which injector is no 1? The one on the timing end of the engine or the one on the transmission side?

I don't know if they are compatibel. Withe the megane no 1 is the transmission side. But the easyest to check is to look at the codes on the injector and what is the canclip telling you.

Yes I learned a lot, thanks. Who the hell wants to pay Main Dealers extortionate amounts of money, and a third party on top of that!? Congratulations on buying the necessary equipment and figuring out how to use it. It takes time but is so satisfying in the end. Your brother is lucky to have a mechanic brother! I'm guessing the vehicle will keep going much longer than a month or two.

Thanks very much for making this video. I own a Renault Clio in Hong Kong, and unfortunately, my car's transmission is having some electrical issues. The Renault dealership here has been closed and since Renault isn't popular here, it's challenging to fix it. Ordering a CAN CLIP today and hope I can have my car fixed!!!

The first injector in relation of the gearbox is injector number 1#.

Hi I need some advice/help please My battery died and after I had a hand brake error took it to a mechanic to delete the error and he deleted my injector codes too (yeah I know 🤦‍♂️) so I took the care home(Wouldn't rev more then 1500rpm) and I documented myself and managed to reprogram the injectors and after that the glow plugs, everything works fine the car pulls well but it give black smoke before this event never smoked. I check injectors correction, egr. intercooler pipe.vacuum hoses. airfilter and everything it's ok. any suggestions where to look next? the car in question renault laguna 2 from 2006 2.0dci 127kw I have no errors in the dashboard nor info scan the car (in have and elm327 and pyren program almost as good as canclip)

Maybe the smoking is a aftermath of driving it when it whas in limb mode. Maybe it flooded the exhaust/ dpf filter with diesel. And now it's burning off the waste.

From the front of the engine number 4. Only the software it is number 1.

You are right, it was the other way around. Replaced injector 1 and in software it was the 4th injector.

Every injector has a serial number on top. So I compared it wat the software says. First I did the wrong one also.

@@TheDutchGarage V212 zie ik bij je link staan, zal wel goed zijn. Vrijdag beslis ik. Al 2 keer advies gaan vragen bij verkopers van gerenoveerde injectoren(niks). Dus intern vernieuwd, afgesteld met een testbank en krijgen dan een nieuw 16 delig nr mee. Is software voor de ecu (denkelijk het debiet/tijd en per druk en temp)

Just follow the instructions you get with the unit. Just be sure to use a 32bit system.

My megane has been subjected to an injector change (1º) since it died. Fortunately it had factory warranty and didn't had to pay, although since then (15k ago) my car makes this metallic weird noise under load which is definitely coming from the injection. The return/correction values are OK - i think (varies from 0.85 to 1.2). Car performs well, low consumption, but this noise drives me crazy. Renault says the noise will only be gone if i change the 4 injectors which in total plus reprogramming cost near 1800€. Is it ok to keep it like this? well, it's been without an issue for the past 15k km.. Thanks! Useful video.

Injector can be noisy indeed. But are they noisy becourse there sticking or is the coil on its way out. What I would try first is an injection cleaner addictive to the fuel. See if it's getting better or not. If not then it's up to you if you want to spend that money.

on Renault laguna 2 I press on the start button until the immobiliser flashes a couple of times and then the contact stays on ( if you open the door/close then it will shut down like when you take of the contact)
